Hurting myself willingly replaying these games 😭
What I respect about Telltale's TWD is how it depicts actual panic.
It's easy to say that this character should have done this and that, but actual panic doesn't let you. There's no thought behind it, it's pure instinct.
Of course Kenny ran off with Duck instead of helping Shawn. His instincts told him to grab his kid and run to safety.
Of course Ben ran away without Clementine. He's a scared teenager who ran away from danger like his body told him too.
These aren't acts of malice, they aren't choosing to do these things, everything in them is screaming to run and they can't stop themselves.
Panic is natural, it's powerful, and even those trained for it still fall apart because of it.
So yes, it would have been better if things had turned out a different way, what you can't blame people for how they act when they're afraid, their brains are just trying to keep themselves alive.

Games that marked my decade (2010-2019)
i need you here with me.
I... I spent all day on this.
This was initially gonna be a gag for my next GA reference tour post, then it became this.
It’s far too undignified to be part of the “video game” prompt for Stevidot Month (and I’ve got PLENTY of ideas for that prompt alone...), so I’ll just... plop it here.
It is Stevidot Month, after all.
What did Jane even contribute to season 2 other than a conflict with Kenny? Like,,,the whole walker guts thing, Clemmy already knew that, she couldn’t save Sarah, and nobody cares about Luke’s (or whatever his name is) love life, plus her refusal to work with people, in a more realistic situation, would have killed more people.
