Some Friends and I were talking about making our own "Fantasy" Cartoon Network Schedule, it started as just a "What if Trick Moon actually came out as a Show" and ended up turning into this haha

The Schedule is ambiented in 2019: Over here lot of stuff are Different, so lemme break it down

SHOWS DISTRIBUTION

In this Universe Mao Mao, SU Future, Infinity Train, DC Superherogirls and OKKO are all airing during the same time, so the Schedule is adjusted for that.

Pokemon is included as part of CN's Lineup. Most likely Journeys or Sun and Moon as they were the Pokemon Shows ongoing in 2019.

TOONAMI IS BACK ft. Pokemon

Friday Nights include 3 Hours of Toonami premieres / Reruns!

Weekday Mornings include reruns of the Toonami Shows, as well as a shortened slot afterschool for Pokemon and Ben 10 (their biggest shows).

Infinity Train and Teen Titans 2003 serve as a closing for the Friday Block.

SATRUDAYS ARE PACKED! ft. Trick Moon

Saturday Mornings include a very stacked lineup, starting with Total Dramarama (Popular show aimed at younger kids), TTG (most popular show) and Trick Moon (in this universe, the NEW show), followed by DC Girls, Unikitty, OKKO and Mao Mao which kinda fit together tbh.

All those shows used to have limited reruns on CN so I limited them on Weekdays to a weekly hour (except Trick Moon which would be too new to have enough episodes for an hour). Saturday Nights are used for the premieres of their more General-Audience Shows like Gumball, Bears, Craig and SU

Yeah here Boomerang is actually a thing, taking over Sunday Morning to air Premieres

It also has a 5 hour block on Weekday Mornings / Noon as Filler during School Hours.

Friday Noon is saved for Marathons of one of their Sunday Shows, like New Looney Tunes, Wacky Races, Bunnicula, etc.

Sunday Nights are saved for a "Boomerang Classics" Block, to air Older CN Shows, simialr to Cartoon Planet during 2014

WEEKEND... Marathons?

Alr this is something CN used to do in 2013-14, and I'm just copy pasting it here lmao. Basically every few weeks, X show would take over all Weekend Morning, sometimes it would be all Weekend Adv Time or Johnny Test, other times it could be a takeover of a Franchise like all 4 Ben 10 Shows. Considering how most shows here barely air more than an hour, I thinnk its fair to give them a chance to have a Marathon once in a while

I'm probably missing some stuff cause this was a HUGE project haha, so feel free to ask any other things on the comments!! Shoutouts to my friends from the Cartoon Comrades, they inspired me to Work on this :D

I started thinking that Disney Channel doesn't really have a programming block for their older audiences like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, then I thought about how Freeform could be that since it is part of the Walt Disney Company.

All the shows I included on the list have all been cancelled, couldn't make it past the first or second season, ended on a cliffhanger, or removed entirely from the service.

People have watched and grew up with Blossom, The Facts of Life, Boy Meets World, The Wonder Years (1988), Saved by the Bell (1989), The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters, Family Ties, Full House, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, etc., so I thought "What would be this generation's version of those shows?" for most of the programming.

I haven't seen most of these shows I listed, but I wanted to include a variety of shows for the audience even if some of them are syndicated on other channels.

When did I first discover Escaflowne?

I first watched Escaflowne around 2000, back when I was in grade school. It stood out to me because at the time, all the other anime shows were dubbed in Tagalog, but for some reason, Escaflowne was broadcast in English.

The local network at the time had this insane programming block where they would air a different anime show every weeknight, and Escaflowne would air on Friday nights. I was a high achieving schoolgirl at the time with a strict mom, and my TV hours were strictly regimented. But on Fridays, I could relax!

I remember the first episode immediately hooking me. Even back then, I could tell that the show was so tightly plotted because I wouldn’t even realize that the half-hour block was up. The first few episodes had really well-executed cliffhangers too. I couldn’t wait until Fridays and would rush home from school every week.

Pre-teen me would get really into it. Like REALLY into it - I would spend the commercial breaks writing down names of the new characters and countries just so I could remember. Also a lot of squealing in my room. I was in full-on fan-girl mode. I fangirled with my friends at school too.

Sadly, I didn't even finish the series upon first watching. I was so upset when it got cancelled/the timeslot changed/??? for some reason. This was way back in the early 2000s and there was no YouTube, the internet barely had anything. I remember being so upset that I was indignantly saying I would literally WRITE to the broadcast network that cancelled it and demand that they put it back on the air (LOL). I don’t remember when they stopped but I think I stopped just before Hitomi left Gaea the first time.

Some time later, I found an anime store (in SM North Edsa) and they had bootleg copies of the series on VHS tapes. I eventually got to finish the series. I still love the ending. (Thoughts on that incoming in another post)

In 2016 it got Kickstarted for a re-dub and I’m so glad that 20+ years on, enough people still hold it very dear to their hearts and showed support! I joined in on that campaign too, of course.

Nowadays I rewatch the show every few years or so. And I make sure to have at least 2 copies stored in different devices at all times.
