youre fucking insane
yeah we know whats your point? -Glitch
Some alternatives to saying that something is “crazy” or “insane”
“That’s wild”
“That’s ridiculous”
“That’s unbelievable”
“That’s absurd”
“That’s unfathomable”
“That’s unheard of”
“That’s unprecedented”
Sharing this because a couple of years ago someone was kind enough to inform me that it is ableist to casually throw around words that for many people are triggers for past mental health traumas. And since then I’ve been trying to expand my vocabulary to avoid those past bad habits.
And I thought I’d pass along the tip and share with the rest of y’all.
(P.S. I’d also like to point out that all of these words maintain the versatility of being used to convey either a positive or negative opinion, depending on the context. Like, “That’s ridiculously good,” or “That’s absurdly cruel.”)
i don't even care at this point
i don't care if i get better
i don't care if i get healthy
i don't give a flying fuck whether im healthy and stable or insane
i don't care
as long as the pain is gone
as long as i can feel happy again
i don't care
im in core class and someone said that a character might have DID and now they’re all being like “i dont think he’s INSANE” and im like “sis why are we saying insane how about we stop calling ppl with mental disorders insane???”
@official-lucifers-child @gayboiohio @everyone who knows abt this stuff; what should i do????
“What?”
A man tears open the door, there is an unmistakable similarity with the old man and Carl, same jawline. He looks the two over, waiting for them to say something.
“H-hi I'm doctor Yvreon from Magnolia General Hospital. Do you- is this where Carl lives? I-i'm here to get some of his things. Clothes, medication, stuff like that?”
Vy visibly shrinks a little as the man looks at him, Hayden putting his arm around him protectively, the man almost taking a step back when he notices the young man’s eyes.
“Hospital.. great, like he can afford that.. “
He opens the door properly.
“His room is in and to the left, if he has any stuff like that it would be there.” “Thank you.”
Vy smiles politely at the man and walks in.
“Does Carl have any underlying illnesses the hospital should know?” “Not that I would know, the boy’s insane, but that's not an underlying condition.. it's just what he is.”
He walked innside, looking around, it was fairly well kept, although an area in the living room was more messy than the rest. A large chair with a blanket, empty cans, and the tv on catching his attention before he walks over to the bedroom door and opens it. Carl’s father's words lingering in his head.. Insane. Hayden follows him into the room mumbling something about him being rather uncaring, noticing Vy glowing blue again. Chris stood in the hallway, keeping an eye on the old man, not quite sure he trusted him.
“Insane…”
Hayden walks over to him, wrapping his arms comfortingly around him.
“If he is.. it explains a lot, and maybe it means you can help him, help him control it better, and have a better life?”
He looks around the room, noticing it seems slightly better cared for than the rest of the house.
“You can look for any medication.. I'll find some changes of clothing deal?”
He notices Vy nod as he opens the side table drawers imagining he might have some medication there. He finds pills bottles and some magazines, takes both out and places them on top of the bed, mood stabilizers, antidepressants... Anti-psychotics... They're all empty. Hayden on his side finds a bag, taking out clothing noticing their either brand new, or worn to shreds, taking the newer stuff, walks over to Vy
