dust sans hcs (suggestive under the cut)

؛࿔ dust is actually really fucking good at fishing. he knows how to tie so many knots it's genuinely baffling. like why the fuck did you learn this dude ؛࿔ has really pretty handwriting. doesn't practice it or anything, he just has insanely pretty handwriting ؛࿔ out of the bad sanses (from the pov of a human) he's the scariest to fight. he knows how humans work, how to predict what one might do, their weak spots, yadda yadda. if you're a human and you gotta fight him? just say gn bruh he's ringing your shit out ؛࿔ most scarred out of any of the sans variants. he doesn't notice when he gets them because he's so used to getting thrown around like a ragdoll. he is LITTTTEEERRREED with knicks, chips, scars galore ؛࿔ silent walker. you genuinely can't hear his footsteps. he learned this when he was stalking his human from his universe; if he was too loud, his cover was blown and it was all shot to shit. he learned to walk on the outside of his shoes to dampen the sound of his steps ؛࿔ stares. stares. STAAAARES. he stares so much. he doesn't gaf if you see. he will be staring at you. unblinking. silent. he doesn't blink as often as the other sanses or ever fully close his eyes. if he does, one's open or he's just squinting. this pertains to sleeping too bro he sleeps with one eye open It's fucking terrifying ؛࿔ i said this in another post but he is VORACIOUS. his ectobody is also stupidly fit. insane physique his metabolism is thru the roof. he can eat whatever he wants, as much as he wants, and never have his ecto form change. he's lean as fuck ؛࿔ fucking LOVES dramas. dude he will hate on your soap operas then be standing in the middle of the room staring at the screen with his arms folded, yelling shit because he's so into it ؛࿔ hardcore smoker and borderline alcoholic. sorry he's fucked up he has his vices i fear ؛࿔ has also abused pills before... sorry guys his mental state is shot ؛࿔ wears gloves YEEEAAAHHH ؛࿔ has a knife aaaand a gun... his gun's name is susan (killer named it)

Errorink is much more complicated and actuallt is not in fact enemies to lovers or opposites attract tropes and i have an explanation why

Error and Ink have too much paralels to be really opposites. Despite being the Protector and Destroyer, they both chose their roles for their own sanity and life, simply to have some purpose in their existance. No one gave them or forced them this title, but they themselves made the decision of being something important to the Multiverse. They both suffered in the void, both changed there, and became something new, someone they are now thanks to that traumatic expirience. And both of them forgot it, and reminding it to them might have consequences affecting both of them. And even Ink’s soullesness doesn’t make him too different from Error, since Error isn’t much smarter emotionally, if not actually worse at that because he simply doesn’t want to learn. And all Error has a tiny piece of his sould left(at least, i think he does??? I might be wrong bc i simply don’t remember), and even that is anything but stable and normal.

But i think Error and Ink want to be the opposites.

Ink believes that Error is his opposite, because he knows that thats what Creators like. And he simply thinks that… Error is here for the sake of HIS story, that they just must share a connection of some sort. And maybe thats why Ink would nag him and never really leave him alone: he knows that they’re supposed to interact. That Creators would love to see that. He would seek out any moment to talk, to fight, to find something new about the Destroyer simply because he thinks that they belong to the same story, that it’s something he’s supposed to do. But, in no wat would he feel forced to do it: he was trying to find a world he would fit in, a place he belonged to, and having a whole other character is even better.

Error would think of them as opposites simply because he believes that him being a Destroyer is his destiny, and Ink, being a Protector, is just the last obstacle he needs to fight to achieve his goal. He would believe that Ink’s friendliness and curious behaviour is just there to trick him into liking him, into giving up. That’s why he wouldn’d really trust him at first, but then, realising that Ink is, in fact, not giving up on the act, just figures out that Ink still didn’t realise that Ink was supposed to be his rival and not a friend—but, with time, accepts it as his weirdness, and simply thinks making that his plan from now on—on becoming his rivals friend and using it to his advantage.

I’D LOVE TOOO

-The easiest part of Nightmare Error can touch is his tentacles- since they don’t feel human and just feel like slime. It’s not a pleasant texture, but it doesn’t feel humanoid at all or warm enough to make Error’s phobia trigger, so Nightmare only touches him with his tentacles if need be.

-They tend to get into really explosive fights- due to each of their coping mechanisms while arguing infuriates the other. Nightmare stays cool and passive aggressive which makes Error more angry and hot headed- which just makes Nightmare annoyed. Stay far away from these two when they are fighting…either Error will start throwing things or Nightmare will kick him out and be in a horrible mood for the rest of the day…

-They apologize with gifts- never words. Error is too prideful and Nightmare has a habit of slowly getting consumed by guilt for getting angry that it makes him feel ashamed. Most of the time, he believes no words will be enough to apologize for simply being mean to Error, so he gives him sweets. Error apologizes with affection or with slight off topic things. He’d come into a room and tell Nightmare he thinks he looks nice, but that’s all Nightmare really gets as an apology. It’s more than enough.

-Error refused to kiss Nightmare after finding out he drank coffee like a madman. He hates the smell and taste and will walk out of the room when he smells it. Nightmare obviously hated that and switched to only having tea- making sure it’s sweet flavored so Error will kiss him more.

-Nightmare fell first. HARD. Error fell for him after Nightmare was constantly there for him and helping him in battles.

-Error knits Nightmare clothing only to test how they look. He knows Nightmare’s goop will ruin them, so Nightmare basically serves as his model for different kinds of outfits. It makes Nightmare very flustered.

-Both have been together for so long that they don’t really celebrate anniversaries bc everyday is a day of happiness when the other is by their side

-Error doesn’t remember how they first met. Nightmare remembers it exactly.

-Error remembers exactly how he asked Nightmare out and is constantly haunted by how he got so nervous he glitched out and stomped on Nightmare’s foot before tumbling off of the side of a floating island in Outertale. Nightmare caught him and when Error came to, Nightmare said yes to going out.

Nightmare does not remember any of this. Error makes sure to keep it that way.

May i request your take on Momroba? [Ceroba somehow growing fond of and adopting Clover]

From the very start of her adoptive motherhood with Clover, Ceroba would be one protective monster. After all, the Underground can still be quite scary and dangerous for a human!

Semi-strict as a mother, but Clover does tend to do their own thing anyway, especially when it comes to justice and Starlo's antics.

If Clover even comes into a ten-foot radius of potential danger, Ceroba is SPRINTING over just so she will be ready to protect her child.

With strictness comes responsibility. You're only allowed to play with Starlo after your chores get done, Clover!

However, the moment Clover gives Ceroba a puppy-dog look, some of the rules can change a little. She may be strict, but she's not cruel... she loves her adopted gunslinger child.

Definately hangs up family photos next to her older family photos, wondering what her husband and daughter would think of her now raising a human...

Ceroba definitely wants to give the best education she can to Clover, digging up some of her husband's science notes in hopes of helping to teach Clover something useful. She's not exactly a teacher, but she's trying.

Although Clover doesn't express their emotions all that much, Ceroba can just sort of "tell" how they're feeling, although not much on why.

Headcanon that the reason Gaster talks in all caps is because he has a very similar keyboard bug to me where sometimes certains keys just dont respond unless I capitalise them so I just say whole sentences in capitals instead

i can’t find the old post i made so here’s a quick collection of the chara and frisk hcs i had (most from when i was twelve lol but they’ve evolved slightly)

grew up in a religious household, was considered “demonic” for its mental illnesses and love of creepy things

spent their early life locked in a room with nothing but a computer to shut them up. their only comfort was the things they could find and watch online.

an actual tech nerd, absolute natural at programming and made its own programs for fun since it could physically use a keyboard.

got really into japanese media as a way to connect to their heritage, self taught themselves how to read basic japanese (they’re not able to speak or write it though)

its injuries from falling into the underground left it with mobility issues, its legs never healed perfectly.

the dreemurrs were like the first people they had any sort of interactions with that weren’t just abuse and being passed food.

tried to be the opposite of its family- which lead to it being clingy and emotionally abusive towards asriel without meaning.

this also meant they struggled to see the dreemurrs as family for a while, bc they actually paid attention to them

liked to play pranks but didn’t always consider the consequences. the buttercups incident was intended as a prank, it didn’t know buttercups were poisonous and thought it’d just taste funny.

planned to kill their family when they got to the surface with asriel, as their own idea of justice. they got so angry when they saw the other villagers they tried to kill them all though.

very protective of frisk, sees the fact they came here as a sign they’re not like other humans.

aware of the players influence but doesn’t know what they are. assumes they’re also some sort of trapped soul, and therefore a friend and partner.

street rat, doesn’t remember any life before. raised by their sister (who’s barely older than them) who resented them, and was bullied by other kids in their situation.

blind since birth, they’re able to make out colours but too blurry to see shapes. possibly could have been helped with glasses at some point but deteriorated so much there’s nothing to be done. they don’t care or particularly want to see- they’re happy the way they are.

uses their stick as a makeshift cane to feel their way around. chara also describes things for them.

has had to use violence to protect themselves before and entirely unaverse to the concept. they bite and scratch like a cat.

very very loud and vocal. lots of vocal stimming. talks a lot. they don’t like quiet much.

used to sleeping in weird places and having to fight or talk their way out of weird situations, they’re entirely unphased by the underground. it’s not very different to their regular life.

hasn't been to school but is extremely street smart. they've been able to make a fairly comfortable living just out of sweet-talking people into giving them stuff, they’re very charismatic naturally and they also are a lot smaller and younger looking than most people their age so they can use that too.

this hasn’t saved them from horrific situations, they've been through some shit. they're easily startled and quick to enter fight or flight mode.

their sister abandoned them on mt ebbot without telling them and they fell into the underground trying to get back to the city. (she felt really bad after frisk didn’t return after a few days she’s only like 14 herself)

very very distant descendent of one of chara's uncles. shares a last name.

likes to make people smile. tells silly jokes and compliments people a lot. they also flirt a concerning amount- there’s not a lot they haven’t seen, and they don’t quite get why it’s inappropriate.

often appears extremely uncaring but mostly just easygoing. they can thrive in any situation and don’t really have an interest in stuff outside of that. they’ve never gotten themselves out of survival mode before.

from the year 2500 or whatever the fuck (they’re not sure they haven’t been to school again). does Not like technology bc it hurts their eyes tho

all my monster culture hcs

(may be based in things we see in game, may be random stuff)

monsters’ ages of maturity vary a lot and it’s very difficult to tell what monsters are adults and who are children since there are so many different kinds, that’s why all monster children wear striped shirts.

once a monster child reaches their species’ equivalent of around 16 years in maturity, they have a big, special celebration (like a bar mitzvah or quinceañera in human culture). the main event is the monster’s friends and family gifting them new clothes. for some families, it is tradition to pass on a single garment to the first-born child for generations, although this is not always the case. (for the royal family, it’s asgore’s cape)

when monsters were first sealed behind the barrier, the underground was much smaller than it is in the game. originally, it was just the ruins, snowdin, and a small bit of waterfall. but due to erosion over time and many wanting to mine further to avoid overpopulation, it’s size grew a lot.

all monsters are immortal (in the sense of that they can’t die of old age) until they choose to have children, in which they give up that immortality.

this is done by a soul bond, when two (or more) monsters fuse their souls together and the part of immortality in them leave to form a new one. this can only be done if both monsters want to create a new life, therefore accidental and/or non consensual pregnancy can’t happen.

we know a lot of human stuff has been repurposed for the underground, but a lot of the stuff containing images or videos of actual humans (except for stylised animation) have been confiscated by the royal guard. the government said it was because many monsters could have pstd flashbacks to the war by seeing real humans. this is why many monsters don’t actually know what humans look like.

monsters species that possessed wings live primarily in new home due to its open nature.

education in the underground is usually pretty good. to make things easier on monster students that age faster/slower than their peers due to species, formal education in a standard grade system is not required. in order to become a legal adult, a monster that reaches the age of maturity would have to pass a government-made exam to prove they can function independently.

while new home, the core, and hotland exist in a modern capitalist system that functions as well as it can, waterfall and snowdin operate on a more trade-based economy while maintaining use of g’s.

Papyrus headcanons ???

Alright!!!

-His favourite food isn’t actually spaghetti. It’s dunkaroos. The vanilla one, to be specific. He can and will eat 10 in a row and then regret it immediately. But he will not learn from his mistakes, and he will do it again.

-His favourite movie is Beauty and the Beast.

-He’s a full seven foot tall but has the energy of a 5’0 child.

-He’s like. a scarily fast and silent runner. You’ll be alone, turn around, and see this fucking 7’0 skeleton statue towering over you and he’s just like “BOY YOU’RE SLOW AT NOTICING THINGS, HUMAN! I’VE BEEN STANDING HERE FOR OVER TWO MINUTES!”

-He’s childish, but he’s not stupid. He’s incredibly smart, and it hurts him when people act like he doesn’t know shit.

-Will answer to any pronouns. He doesn’t give two shits what you refer to him as.

-Once gave Sans a pun book for his birthday, instantly regretted it when later that day he used one of the puns in the book.

-He loves children. And children love him. He’s quite friendly, and he loves playing literally any game as long as he understands the rules.

-A human once made a sly comment about the fact that he’s a skeleton, and Papyrus said, in complete seriousness, “Well, at least I don’t have to worry about getting stabbed. You, on the other hand… I’m not so sure.”

-The guy thought he was about to get stabbed by the great Papyrus.

-His favourite activity (after making/solving puzzles, ofc) is, interestingly enough, swimming. Since he’s incredibly narrow and water resistant, he can fly through the water with no issue at all.

-Has a wig he’ll wear when he’s by himself, and he’ll ride on his bed car, with a fan going in front to pretend he’s driving. He can 100% drive now that he’s on the surface, but it’s just fun to pretend!

-Knows first aid for humans. He wanted to make sure he knows what to do in case Frisk or any other human hurt themselves.

-His first instinct when someone is mad/upset it to make tea. Even if the person doesn’t like tea. He will make you tea.
