Daminette December 2025: 14-Inheritance
SEQUEL TO: 13-A Little Bit of Holiday Magic
Marinette took a deep breath. She had convinced herself that this would be worthwhile to see her Damian happy.
"Kalki, Full gallop." She whispered, before she could change her mind, "Voyage."
"Intruder!" she heard, immediately.
She was instantly surrounded with weapons pointed at her.
'I knew this was gonna happen.'
Marinete stood, unwavering as Talia made her way forward.
"What do you want?" Talia demanded, "I can assume you came here with a plan."
Mari smiled, "I'm Damian's girlfriend. I just wanted him to have something from you for the holidays. He talks about you often and your cooking."
Talia looked at the bodies scattered around the girl.
'Appearances are deceiving. Father may have liked her. '
"Follow me." Talia demanded, "What do you do?"
"I am a fashion designer for high-paying clients. My parents are bakers." Marinette spoke, following Damian's mother.
"You are…..holding back." she stated.
"You asked what I do, that is my job." Mari smiled, "You merely didn't ask the right question."
"Hmm." Talia huffed, amused.
'Strong fighter. Cunning. Resourceful. Wealthy in her own right and I sense no lies from her.'
"Does my son know you are here?" Talia questioned.
"No." Mari smiled, "It would ruin the surprise. "
"What about Bruce?" she prodded.
"No." Marinette answered.
"Do you have a problem with my…..work?" Talia asked, "Surely, you know what goes on here."
"The world needs balance." Marinette spoke, "Bruce attempts to bubble wrap Gotham. He tries to keep the bad out, but he's only keeping it there. Gotham will not get better his way."
Talia smirked, "You have a different solution?"
"I do." she replied, "It's already in progress, but it will take a while."
"Why?" Talia asked, sensing something from the girl in front of her.
"The pits." Mari declared, "Their energy leaks into the asylum. The rouges feed off of it, even if they don't intend to."
"Does he know?" Talia questioned.
"No." Marinette responded, "I'm attempting to seal it. It is centuries old."
"And if he wishes it to remain unsealed?" Talia pressed.
"They will never rest and neither will the boys." Marinette spoke, "Their children will continue their legacy, instead of their own."
"Follow me." Talia demanded.
She took Marinette to the kitchen.
"Knowing Bruce, he will try to smooth anything over I send to My Dove." She started speaking, as she pulled out ingredients, "I use to make him lunches, after training. I will send you with the lunch box. You have free roam around the compound."
"Anything else you want me to take for him?" Mari smiled.
"I will take something myself." His mother answered, "Knowing my son, he will respond in return."
Marinette nodded and left the kitchen.
Talia handed over a wrapped lunch box to the girl.
"I assume you will handle the wrapping?" She waved off.
Marinette smiled, "I will. Tikki, spots on."
Talia took a step back, realizing the true nature of her son's intended.
"Kalki, Full Gallop." Marinette spoke, "Voyage. It was a pleasure to meet you. I hope we can have more talks like this."
"As do I, Guardian." Talia smiled back, as she disappeared.
'What an interesting girl. Son, you have done well for yourself on choosing. Your inheritance is secured.'

I loved this pattern so much I had to make it twice! This time I added glittery thread to the flames and snow, though that didn't come through in the pic well.

" Your in luck cause I happen to have some ice." Margo went over to her small refrigerator that she keeps in her office to pull out a few cubs of ice and a clean cloth to put in. She couldn't believe she didn't notice the huge bruise on her face and not stopping at a hospital to get looked at. Something told her that she didn't seem the type to go for that.
Handing the cloth covered ice to the woman, she made sure to check to see if anyone came over. When the coast was clear she closed the door behind her. "It was a big risk of you to come by here, wanna tell me what happened with you and how you get that." She gestures with her hand towards the woman's face.

Emergency Rendezvous (John Price x Reader)
You spend the weekend with John and have an unexpected visitor.
1k words
CW: swearing, reference to explicit sex (MDNI)
feedback welcome!
You spend the better part of the weekend with John, doing menial tasks made more interesting just by his presence. Setting the kitchen to rights and replenishing the contents of your vegetable crisper being the first priority. John makes apologetic sounds about your broken glasses the next morning but you can tell his heart isn’t in it. The smirk that threatens to escape containment doesn’t help his case. You swat at him but for a big man he’s surprisingly quick on his feet.
