RAMPAGE IN COURTROOM TEN
War hero Harry Potter has been taken into Ministry custody following the casting of an Unforgivable Curse this afternoon.
Alleged murderer and Marked Death Eater Draco Malfoy, newly acquitted, spoke to the Prophet about Potter’s possible motivations. “I don’t know why,” he said, “I don’t know.”

This year my Microfic May fic is a gift for @mono-chromia and @matredaen because they asked me for this and I live for requests, actually
Okay so I was thinking about my last post ie Unforgivables
And it's canon that Aurors were allowed to use them in the 1st war(possibly second)
And that's kinda disturbing. Bellatrix says you have to MEAN them but Aurors are just... able to do it?
Are they trained explicitly on how, just in case they need to??
Do we know why the killing curse is unforgivable?
I mean, the killing curse, practically, is the most merciful death there be.. just Avaeedeeh keehdaahveeraah and *puff* you're dead. No, known, pain. The body doesn't get destroyed. So why is it unforgivable?
For a long time I thought it is so because... nope. I never accepted any reason, like the mass killing thing or because it kills instantly and doesn't leave a chance at surviving. Because surely, surely, there are other horrendous curses much more damaging and painful.. why, then, does the killing curse take so much of the caster? It harms the caster fundamentally? Needs blind hate and a deep desire to kill, I mean people killed death eaters but wouldn't be able or resort to use the avada kedavra..
And while I wasn't even thinking about Harry Potter world, an idea popped up :\
Remember when Harry and MoldyVoldy were trapped in their duel due to Priori Incantatem? Remember when “echoes” of people murdered by MoldyVoldy were brought out?
In the book it says they were echoes, but weren't they more than mere projections or echoes? they were conscious enough for the old man to say “yes, I knew you're a wizard” or something like that, conscious enough for Cedric to request Harry, and so and so...
Soooooo, what if the fundamental reason the killing curse is unforgivable and an abomination because it traps the soul of the murdered in the caster's wand? Could it be that because of trapping them they can't pass to the other side?
Do you know about a ghost that was murdered by the killing curse? Because if there is, then this hypothesis will be proved to be not correct.
Unforgivables AU Allbert, anyone??

Trick-or-Treat
“This… is your best effort?”
She almost misses His mockery. Heartbeat deafening in her ears, her magic crackling angrily around her. Delphini felt like she choking on air yet refusing to breath all at once.
“This is all you have to show for yourself?”
He steps directly in front of her, finally cutting off her stare from the only sight that’s ever made her truly nauseous. He scoffs at her and Delphini flinches, lowering her gaze. Her wand hand is still shaking. “I have taught you better than this. We deal with failure accordingly, you are no exception from being either at the end of my ire or acting on its order."
He lifts an equally white wand under her chin, forcing her gaze up to meet his own. She just knows her eyes are desperate, pleading.
Her father looks disgusted with her.
“Don’t disappoint me.”
Her throat is dry as he steps away. The image of her mother slumped along the stone floor greets her like a boggart. She looks so small. Bellatrix is not looking at her, as if that makes what Delphini's about to do any easier. Suddenly, she's so angry at Him, true hatred blazing inside her. Why is He is making her do this?
It's one deep breath and a handful of heartbeats before Delphini chooses to channel that rage. She raises a trembling hand to the witch she adores most.
“Crucio.”
Please, just do it already. - random prompt
“Yes, well, you’re not helping right now. I need to concentrate.” He pulled his arm away from her hand which she had placed over his for support. “I can do this, Bella, I don’t need y- I just need a second.”
“Fine,” she pouted but gave him some space. Rodolphus raised his wand again, pointing it at the boy in front of him who wasn’t moving. “Imperio,” he said and waited for something to happen. “Did it work?” He furrowed his eyebrows in concentration. “Get up,” he ordered but the boy still lay on the ground motionless. Rod sighed frustratedly, running his fingers through his hair and throwing Bella a rather nasty look as she rolled her eyes at him. “You didn’t get it right away either!” he snapped at her before raising his wand again. It bothered him that she was always so impatient with him.
“Imperio! Get up,” he repeated his earlier try and indeed, as soon as the curse hit the boy, his eyes seemed to glaze over and he sat bolt upright. “Ha, see!” Rod called out triumphantly. “Now…stand up,” he shrugged his shoulders, not really knowing what to do with this newly gained control. “Make him hit his head on the table,” Bella giggled next to him. Even though he smirked at the idea, he shook his head. “You know we can’t. It’s dangerous enough as it is. We’re going to have to make sure that the memory charm is done very thoroughly at the end. I don’t much fancy ending up in prison.”
What they were doing was highly illegal but also kind of…thrilling. And they had to practise somehow, for the Dark Lord. It wouldn’t hurt to already have a basic understanding of how curses worked when they joined, including the Unforgivables…well, at least the first one. And they didn’t actually hurt any of the younger students. Not like they would remember much anyway, they would always make sure of that. Plus, this way those mudbloods would have at least some use. “Roddy,” Bella breathed throatily into his ear, wrapping her arms around his torso from behind. He hadn’t realised how close she stood. “You know what would be fun?” “No, what is it?” he asked, feeling the urge to break the curse and focus just on her, but also wary of her tone as he knew her idea of fun would very likely get them in trouble. “If we tried the second one,” she whispered and bit his ear gently. It took him a moment to realise what she meant and he spun around, breaking the curse by accident. The boy fell to the ground again, probably so hard he’d get bruises later. “The Cruciatus,” he said sternly, just to make sure he’d understood her correctly. “Mhhhmm,” was all she said, playing with her hair and looking up at him. He was intrigued, of course, not just by her flirting with him to get what she wanted but also by the curse itself. Not like he hadn’t thought about it before, but he had always deemed it too dangerous to try such a curse in the halls of Hogwarts. He bit his lips. “Hypothetically,” he finally said, “if we used that curse…do you know anything about its lasting effects? So, could that boy,” he nodded in the first year’s direction, “get permanent damage?”
