tell more about the volturi and their weapons made of dead vamps? (if you want) what you wrote was so cool

 So like this is based in the canon fact that the only thing that can hurt/scar a vampire is another vampire, i figured if they managed to get children of the moon/shifter teeth/shards of vampires they could in theory carve out parts of other vampires into weapons, alternatively just use a spare arm as a club, but i would see the carving of it as a power move.

Not only is the vampire fast/strong enough to destroy another of its kind, but it had the spare time/ resources to create a weapon from their kill. The more intricate the designs carved the stronger the vamp is thought to be.

I’d imagine it’s popular when decimating covens in the southern wars. The ultimate way to show power and territory gain, plus imagine an army of newborns, but with knives, and spears. Especially Maria’s army, with Jasper’s ability to control them, all the newborns focused on taking territory and attacking with knives/bludgeons

Now for the Volturi specific.

 Aro keeps a weapon from each of the covens and criminals he has destroyed. he has a pair of knives from Vladimir’s mate’s legs. Her arms were carved into small daggers, with detailing of the fire/ Romanian landscape for Jane and Alec.

Heidi has a dagger for protection when she goes on missions, it comes from Anne, Victoria’s sister, although she thinks it from a random nomad.

Demetri has a spear, as well as a sword carved from the Egyptian coven. He also has a shield, its more decorative, and meant to be visually threatening than functional. It’s carved from the chest of one of the Egyptian coven’s dead members. Aro sent Amun a knife as a present after he discovered Benjamin’s existence, made from his old coven members.

Felix has three knives, two swords and a bludgeon, as well as a ball and chain. The knives has landscapes from Greece and Rome carved into them. One of his knives is serrated, using claws and teeth to offset the teeth of the knife. The swords are inlaid with Children of the moon teeth carved into a scene of Mt. Olympus and the greek countryside. The bludgeon has Volterra’s castle and tunnel system carved into it. The ball and chain is covered in ‘spikes’ sharpened teeth and claws from children of the moon.

Renata has arm braces, and a knife as well, all made from her great uncle Luca. The arm braces have the Volturi crest on them, as well as images of Volterra’s castle, her knife has the Volturi crest carved into the hilt, the handle is carved to mimic wrapped chains.

Marcus has a small hand carved pendant, in the shape of a moon and stars, Aro had it carved for him, after they found Didyme’s remains, it’s one of the only things he feels genuine comfort from.

Caius has one of the knives from Valdimir’s mate, he also has arm and leg braces from other members of the Romanian coven, as well as a dagger inlaid with teeth and claws from the children of the moon he’s killed. He has a collection of blades and supplies for carving weapons, made from children of the moon. He’s horrible at carving anything and leaves he detail work to Corin and Chelsea.

Chelsea has a needle dagger that as the Volturi crest carved into it. It sheaths into a small bludgeon that she keeps under her cloak. The bludgeon has the greek countryside carved into one side, the other side has Volterra’s castle.

The wive’s have small daggers, mostly decorative, the Volturi crest and Volterra’s scenery carved into them. Didyme’s was given to Marcus.

Carlisle had two knives, tucked far away in a vault some where, one made from Didyme’s arm and the other from a member of the Egyptian Coven, both parting gifts from Aro, he’s unaware of whom they are made from.

So the Romanians didn’t get to the point of their eyes clouding over during their reign but the Volturi did and the Romanians express their gladness that their eyes are clear~Even being vampires with amazing sight I guess this does mean that the cloudiness obscures their eyesight somewhat but do Aro, Cauis, and Marcus notice? Did it happen so gradually (very very gradually) that they didn’t notice? Aro catches wind of people saying his eyes are cloudy and when he asks Demetri and Jane about it they are just like “Oh noooo!! Oh of course not!! Your eyes are perfect!!” 👀
