Work was so fucking boring so I started planning a Vanric animatic to The Subway by Chappell Roan

SPOILERS FOR THE LITTLE THIEVES TRILOGY

Anyway, the most basic sketch for this shit

I need to re-read The Fallow Years (the reason I think this song is so fucking perfect for them) taking place between the end of Painted Devils and Vanjas 'death' in Holy Terrors. You can clearly see where I started with this, and the chorus is gonna start with Emeric becoming a full prefect because VANJA AND HER RED HAIR AND HER GODMOTHER MARKS ARE IN THE FUCKING CROWD OKAYYYYYY

'A few weeks later, somebody wore your perfume. It almost killed me, I had to leave the room' YOU MEAN WHEN EMERIC WAS TRYING TO SOLVE A MURDER AND VANJA WAS THERE AND HE WAS LOSING IT BECAUSE HE KEPT SMELLINH ROSES AND ORANGE?????? YOU MEAN THAT SCENE??? (Thats why this is the perfect song for them, okay?)

Second chorus starts with like, either Vanja getting caught by Emeric in the cathedral and flying for a sec, or her meeting Lilje and seeing the rings. "Well fuck this city, I'm moving to Saskatchewan" will be Vanjas 'forget all my crimes' thing

The 'shes got away's will be a mix of Vanja leaving Emeric (throwing him off the balcony, jumping off the bridge) and Emerics achievements Vanja is scared she'll ruin OR them slowly getting close again and really struggling with it (its one of them, ans personally I want to try draw Vanja throwing herself off tge bridge with Emeric following without hesitation. Them getting separated again and again would work in this section, okay?????)

The end of the animatic? Vanja getting stabbed in the heart and Emeric being prepared to kill himself to save her

Anyway this is all just a hypothetical, im not really an artist, just bored at work and wanting to try see this concept, yknow????? If someone can make this happen, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

I made a moodboard for some characters and ships from Little Thieves by Margaret Owen. I'm reading Painted Devils now and I am obsessed with this series. The moodboards are for Little Thieves, Emeric Conrad, Gisele von Falbirg, Ragne, Vanja Schmidt, Ragne x Gisele (I call them Ragisele in my head), and Vanja x Emeric which I think Vanric, but I also like the idea of them being called Penny Prefect.
