do you have any violence when it comes to dealing with violent thoughts? There’s this girl who keeps pissing me off and doing things to hurt me.. and I often fantasize about beating her up,,,, I don’t like these thoughts cause they’re wrong and I’m scared to act on them and I’m afraid of myself

first off: it's okay to feel these things, especially when someone's been intentionally hurting you. it doesn't make you a bad person at all. thoughts are not inherently wrong by themselves.

when you start having these thoughts, first take a deep breath. label the thought as intrusive; tell yourself something like "that's just my brain being weird again. I don't have to take it seriously."

you can try distracting yourself with something like taking a walk, exercising, doing grounding exercises, writing, or listening to music (angry metal tends to help me get the urges out lol). however, as I know you have ocd, be mindful that the distraction technique doesn't turn into a compulsion. maybe varying techniques can help guard against that?

some people visualize their unwanted urges as clouds drifting past or writing being washed away. that might help you disconnect from them. regular meditation is also known to help.

if you can, get away from the person or thing that made you angry and go to a quieter place.

and don't bottle up your feelings. if you need to vent, you can always tell me or someone else you trust. since we're already talking in dms, you can say "hey I need to vent" and I'll listen 💜

Broken Toy

My seams are loose.

My threads have been pulled at and tightened and loosened and lost.

I’ve been picking my fur apart.

My eyes are falling away from my face and I cannot help ripping them further.

My cheeks stained with mud and tears.

I’m pulling myself apart because I would rather do that than talk to you.

I rip through my tired seams instead.

Pulling my stuffing out and feeling my body twitch and shift and rack.

I cut away at every bit I can reach.

Threads break easily.

Once soft fur, hardened by time, flows through my scissors.

The clumps of my being fall away.

I can always stitch myself back together.

I cut my heart off my sleeve.

Maybe this will finally stop the pain?

It doesn’t, so I keep cutting and tearing.

I will be a broken toy when I’m done.
