Gained 5lbs overnight? - Here’s what’s going on. - Im sure this has happened to everyone of you at some point, you go to step on the scales and boom your 3-5lbs heavier than when you the day before. Your instant thought is that you have gained 5lbs of fat in the last 24 hours even though you’ve been trying hard to stick to your healthy eating. Its very unlikely if not near impossible to add that much fat in one day, unless you spent the whole day trying to be like man vs food. - In actual fact the majority of that weight increase you are seeing on the scales is water, food/waste and maybe a small percentage of fat. If you have an injury or have eaten more carbs then your body will be holding onto more water than usual. Maybe you have just drank more water than usual because you’ve heard of the health benefits. Have you been to the toilet since you last weighed? If you took all your food and water from the last 24 hours and weighed it i’m sure it will be heavier than you thought. People always fall victim to the scales, remember the food and water you consume still weighs something, they don’t become weightless in our bodies. However if you have been over eating for the past few days then chances are you have gained some fat to, but if you are 100% in a calorie deficit then you have nothing to fear. - Don’t get caught up on the number on the scales, theres more going on in your body than you know about. - - - - - - - - #fatloss #caloriesincaloriesout #healthyfood #unhealthyfood #waterretention #weightloss #scales #eatclean #transformation #life #lifestyle #gym #fitfam #fatloss #training #gains #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney #gymlife #bodytransformation #burnfat #plymouth #wednesday (at Plymouth)
