What If (AoS edition)
What if Whitehall had died in prison?
What if Coulson was never revived?
What if "Skye" was never recruited?
What if Hand had refused Ward's request to accompany her?
What if Hydra had never learned of the Kree underground city?
What if Coulson had met with Jiaying?
What if someone else had been stranded to Maveth?
Whaf if Andrew had never become Lash?
What if Bobbi and Hunter had never been disavowed?
What if Daisy had never touched Charles Hinton?
What if Fitz had reported Radcliffe?
What if Daisy had never rejoined S.H.I.E.L.D.?
What if Robbie had killed Aida?
What if Piper had never cooperated with Hale?
What if Fitz had asked for help (either about hearing voices or with the gravitonium)?
What if the Chronicoms had failed to snatch Fitz?
What if Deke had shot Wilfred Malick in 1931?
What if Nathaniel Malick had never seen Quake in action?
Jemma: Don’t worry Deke, Malick died three years ago
-10 minutes later-
Malick: I lived bitch
Random theory that’s probably going to get disproved but...
...Imagine if the only thing (apart from Fitz) that Sybil can’t predict is Deke.
Because it’s literally impossible for anyone to predict Deke. Or, a less silly reason, maybe because he’s an anomaly in the time stream? Since he comes from a future that won’t exist? You could say same for Sousa, but I think Deke’s in a more unique position in that our present has been cut-off from Deke’s future, so-to-speak.
I can’t remember but I don’t think she predicted him killing off Wilfred Malick? If she did then you can just disregard this, but if she didn’t then that just supports this even more. But surely she couldn’t have predicted Deke Squad, right? She didn’t go to their base intending to get blown up, right? I mean she might have but I just think this is a cool idea, especially since he might be an anomaly in the Zephyr which lets him save Simmons.
Also I think it would be a great play-off to Deke’s character arc this season and his interactions with Yo-Yo in 7x04 to have his unpredictability be a major plot point.
A moodboard for @agentsofchallenges’s March Madness challenge.
Deke never thought he’d see color, not after being pulled through time and dragged across universes. He moved too fast, really. His feet were always taking him away from where he was, even if he wanted to stay more than anything.
Freddy knew he must never see color. There’s so much blood on his hands that to see the contrast of blood and flesh would ruin him, even if it would not be enough to make him stop.
They were doomed from the start.
Agents of Shield Rewatch 7x05 A Trout in the Milk
This 70′s intro is hot ngl
Coulson is living for this
I want May’s dress and boots for real though
Ok also I want Daisy’s outfit
Daisy and Sousa clothes shopping in the 70s ugh I need to write that I guess
Sousa is slightly insulted by being called an unfashionable square hahaha
Also he’s trying to figure out time travel which honey, just no
Why have they never changed the password to this place I mean
“bump lemons” DEKE NO
This red track suit is fire though
Also, I adore the way Deke just casually says, “Bye Nana” because it’s so familial and I love that for him
I love the moment with Deke and YoYo, I love seeing Deke getting to bond with other members of the team. He may be the annoying baby brother who wants to tag along on everything but he’s still one of them, someone they look after. It was so sweet of YoYo to make sure Deke was okay because he clearly wasn’t very okay.
I was glad to see someone checking up on Deke because it did irk me during the episode that after Deke got taken, they weren’t all very worried in immediately going after him to find him. I mean, Simmons is his grandmother and there was not the level of urgency I would expect from someone whose grandson was just kidnapped by unknown forces, especially given how urgent her search for Fitz was last season. I know it’s probably due to nature of the plot of the episode and its structure and clearly Deke made it out okay. BUT if he hadn’t been resourceful, he could have been shot and killed while the team was having team meetings on the Zephyr and giddy over the tech thing that Sousa was suppose to deliver. And ultimately it’s Deke who had to find the team, not the other way around, which I get it, narratively it allows Deke to deal with Freddy and be capable and independent, but I still think it sacrifices the tension when the team didn’t see that much concerned that something bad may be happening to him and they ought to immediately find him. I think it’s a structure issue.
But anyways, I’m just really happy to see Deke and YoYo bonding and having their moments in this episode. Their dynamic is really great to explore because in many ways, they are both very independent and resourceful people who’ve grown up in tougher environments than most. They are both also kind of the outsider to the team in terms of cultural understanding. There is a lot of things in common between them.
