How Buddie canon could go:

Eddie realizes he is gay, through his own journey of self discovery. Realizes he never really liked woman and how he loved shanon. She was his best friend no doubt but when he thinks back on all his relationships, he realizes how he might be gay.

It could go several ways, Maybe we get a montage of him being attracted to men OR He goes to a gay bar and men are hitting on him but he just doesnt feel anything / want to reciprocate. He starts questioning maybe he isnt gay after all.

Until he starts seeing Buck differently. He's just cleaning the truck or something and Eddie cant stop staring. Maybe theres sugestive music (When did you get hot by sabrina? lol) or its just Eddies face telling us all we need to know.

But he cant like Buck, hes his best friend and if Buck liked him like that he would know by now so he tries to avoid him. And maybe talks to Hen about it, and talks about how he cant stop seeing him in a non platonic way, and he doesn't know how he didnt see it before, doesnt remember how it was like to not find him attractive even though its a new discovery. Hen probably tells him to talk to him, but Eddie just wants to let the crush fade out.

Buck of course, notices his avoidance and at one point he says something like "I know you've been avoiding me man just come out and say it." hes hurt on his end, feels like hes loosing his best friend. Hes already ranted to Maddie. She reasures him that Eddie is probably going through his own thing.

And Eddie is. Even though hes trying to ignore Buck, cant stop thinking of him seeing things that remind him of Buck. Realizing its not just a little crush but he may be in love with him.

So when Buck asks why hes avoiding him, he panics and just blurs it out and says something like,"im in love with you' there's silence for a second until Buck says,

"But youre straight'

Eddie slightly laughs "Pretty sure im not Buck"

'No youre straight" he says again more slowly this time and Eddie shakes his head.

The alarm goes off.

On the call, theres stolen glances, they keep looking at eachother itching to talk, but eventually the call takes center focus.

it is similar to their situation, a parallel, possibly, the worst case scenario which makes them really think about their relationship and put it into perspective that they have limited time.

OR its the best case and its showing them how it could work. maybe Buck asks did it feel weird after being friends for so long, and they explain that no it felt like why didnt they do it sooner / it felt oddly normal. the audience sees that throughout the call, they still have banter and have a caring foundation.

Then back from the call, they still dont talk becuase of course not.

Time skip to Buck knocking at Eddies door and when he lets him in, Buck looks around making sure Chris isnt in the living room, and kisses him.

How to Write Compelling Siblings (Without Making Them Copies of Each Other).

Sibling relationships are storytelling gold. They’re messy, funny, painful, loyal, competitive, and deeply personal—all at once. If you want your readers to feel something, give them siblings who love each other badly.

Here’s how to do it.

1. Start With Shared History, Not Similar Personalities

Siblings don’t need to act alike. They just need to remember the same things differently.

Example:

Two sisters both remember the night their parents fought.

One remembers hiding under the bed.

The other remembers standing in the doorway, furious.

Same event. Different scars.

That contrast is where the magic lives.

2. Give Them a Power Dynamic

Every sibling relationship has an unspoken hierarchy—and it doesn’t always match age.

Ask yourself:

Who was “the responsible one”?

Who got away with everything?

Who feels overlooked?

Example:

The younger brother is the family golden child.

The older sister is the “strong one” who never got praised because she never broke.

Now every conversation between them already has tension. You didn’t even write dialogue yet.

3. Let Them Be Cruel in Small, Intimate Ways

Strangers insult your character? Whatever.

A sibling does it? Devastating.

Siblings know exactly where it hurts because they helped build those insecurities.

Example:

> “You’re still doing that writing thing?”

Not said with malice. Said with history.

That’s lethal.

4. Use Humor as a Love Language

Real siblings don’t say “I love you” all the time. They roast.

Example:

“If you die first, I’m taking your jacket.”

“You can’t judge me—you cried over a toaster once.”

Teasing = affection.

Silence = something’s wrong.

5. Let Them Choose Each Other (Again and Again)

The most compelling sibling moments happen when they don’t have to stay—but do.

Example:

The brother could escape town.

He stays because his sister is exhausted and pretending she isn’t.

No speech. No hug. Just staying.

That’s love.

Final Thought

Writing siblings isn’t about making them similar—it’s about making them inevitable to each other. They know each other’s worst selves. They remember who you were before the world got to you.

And no matter how far they drift, some part of them is always eight years old, fighting over the same seat in the car.

Had an intresting dream where Grace fell into this huge lake? Surrounded by mountains in the middle of nowhere. First, he fell onto rock, but the man that pushed him fell after him. While injured and dazed, he knew someone falling on him was a worst fate. So, he pushed his body further into the water and fell into a cave. A group of people were gathering together. Some, were on beach chairs while some stood. Recognizable celberties whom were presumed missing stood or sat amongst them. They were explaning how they got trapped here. Some who've been missing way longer then when they first got trapped. Howver, they made they made a life there. Some hung out in the cave, others in this bar with laughter and music despite their situation. One guy who embodied Rocky imo was talking to him and tried to convincing him to come up with an escape plan. Grace was reluctant. He found a place where he felt welcomed, and at home. Rocky wrote on the board writing that each day was equivalent to 4 days in real life. When Grace shared his doubts, Rocky just said arent you a scientist and Grace shyly, almost unconfidently said,"yes I am a scientist. (It felt like how he said something particular in the movie but I'd have to watch back) it time skips because I, Dreamer am not a scientist to a plane full of people. Its reveled that Grace was in the world where time streatched, for an equvilamt of two months.

If i were to make this into fic: some hung out in the cave to be neat the water, the bridge to the real world, (maybe the only source of fresh light), people in the past have tried to swim to saftey, and either never came back or failed)

I've been daydreaming about a story for some months now, and i just thought about a heartfelt scene that literally made me CRY! I never cry!! I was tearing up, mom asked why and I had to lie saying a bug got in my eye 'cause no way i'm explaining it was because of a story i haven't even written yet!😫😫
