I Guess That Makes Us Even
So I was sketching out a sweet, really fluffy Miraculous Ladybug comic. And then I came across @buggachat ‘s fanfiction, “I Guess That Makes Us Even.” Next thing I know, I’m inking another angst. Why am I like this?? This comic is based on a fanfiction by @buggachat. It’s wonderful. Her stories are wonderful. AAAAH 🐞🐾
Jaune: Fine! I'm in love with Ruby!
Nora: (Squeals) You have to tell her!
Jaune: How, though?!
Nora: Just tell her you're in love with her! Here, practice on Ren! (Puts Ren's hair into pig-tails) Go!
Jaune: (Nods) H-Hey, Ruby!
Ren: Yes, hello, I am Ruby Rose. You said you had something to tell me?
Jaune: Yeah, I... I'm in love with you! (Grabs Ren's shoulders) I know we're friends, but you're more than that to me! I'm in love with you, and I want to take you out on a date!
Ren: Oh, Jaune.
Weiss: Uh, (Everyone turns to see her walking in) are we interrupting something?
Ruby: (Sobbing in the doorway) Damn you, Ren...

A faint echo of her parents' voices chided in unison; distant like the dream she could no longer remember. However feeble it may have been, it rang with potency, leaving a haunting feeling in her gut.
Maybe it was delusions caused by subconscious desire… whatever it was she didn't believe any parents who truly loved their children would just abandon them like that. Not a single thing in this big, wide world could possibly be more important.
Nothing.
She rolled over in the covers and looked down at the dimly lit area below the loft where her brothers were soundly sleeping.
Apparently, this used to be her mother's room in the old famous Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie.
In Truth
MILD SPOILER ALERT FOR “TRUTH” AND “LIES” . . . OKAY, guys!! I am so happy that these two episodes are related! We finally got an Adrien-centric episode, y’all!! I’m glad to see more depth in the characters. Luka as a person is being explored, the Ladynoir dynamic is evolving, we get more quiet moments, and I am honestly feeling pretty optimistic about this season. One of the things that really impacted me in the episode “Lies” was how Adrien blatantly said that maybe his silly side was the real him. This has been implied, but it was the first time that he blatantly said it. And Kagami (and don’t get me wrong, I love this awkward stiff to bits) rejected this. She literally cornered him and said that the TRUE Adrien was the perfect image that the world has of him. And it’s not! Gods, just let this boy be the lovable dorky, pun-loving doof that he is! Kagami’s rejection made Ladybug’s confession in “Truth” - that the thing she loved most about Chat Noir was his humor - all the more meaningful. Chat Noir telling Ladybug, “I could only have so much fun with you” was all the more heart-wrenching when you realize how true it was. Agh. I hope to see more development on Adrien’s part this season. I hope we see more of his Chat leaking out in his civilian life. I hope Marinette and Kagami learn to stop putting him up on a pedestal. I hope for so many things, but I trust the writers know what they’re doing this season. 🐞🐾
Ruby: (Running outside, Calling on her scroll) Jaune! Where are you?! I just saw the Huntsman, and I won't let you miss out on seeing him, too! (Looks up) Huh?!
Jaune: (Climbs through his wondow) Another night free of crime, thanks to... The Huntsman!
Ruby: That's Jaune's room! But that means...
MIDNIGHT...
Ruby: (Sobbing) Yaaaaaaang, I'm so saaaaaad! But it all makes so much sense! Jaune is awesome, and so is the Huntsman, so of course they're dating each other!
Yang: (Stroking her hair) Yeah... It's, uh, quite a shock to us all.
Weiss: That's it! I'm sleeping in the hall!
Blake: I call dibs on the bathroom.
This virus has gotten completely out of hand. Remember to always disinfect. Wash your hands and take extra precautions! And flirt responsibly. It’ll make a world of difference ;)
