i rewatched ep 497 from shippuden and MAN i love gaanaru somuch (nobody is surprised)

if i was naruto and i saw gaara looking down, saying "naruto is getting married huh?" in THAT VOICE i would just cry on the floor forever and never recover so thank the gods i'm not naruto

i really love this episode, i would've loved it if we had more gaara-focused eps like this. not only because i'm pathetic about gaara/naruto but bc seeing him interact with other characters and react to the weirdness of the konoha-gang is actually very refreshing NWNEMDM

but also yeah it's because i'm pathetic about gaara/naruto

The Yaoi Community is so ignorant to the issues other gay men faced from toxic yaoi fangirls

Btw I'm not using f*joshi bec I found out it's a misogynistic term so I'll use Yaoi fangirls although the people using that term when it comes to criticism for Yaoi Fangirls may not realized it's a sexist term and I used that word before and not realizing it was sexist, just bec you may not seen a yaoi fangirl assaulting gay men for not having sex that doesn't excuse blind ignorance of sexual harassment gay men faced from yaoi fangirls. Also I'm not ignoring if there are other queer women who experienced being assaulted by men and I've seen other women who have issues with men in how they seen lesbians and I think they deserved better, also I used to consumed real life gay porn from websites in the past not until I found out recently that there are few stories of gay guys who tell their horrifying stories from the sex industry that includes a gay sex worker who was abused from his work and disliked Hazbin Hotel's depiction of SA and his thoughts on Poison, it just pisses me off that the Yaoi community will be ignorant to bad behaviors the community has been criticized for years by gay men who have valid criticisms so that they can defend themselves of using terms like Misogyny or the classic "You just hate women that can't enjoy BL!" When there's problematic behaviors in the community that's been a problem.

For the last comment there are guys I've seen who were also hated for fetishization, there are people having heated discussions on that from what I've seen.

This is all I have to post, I'm a Yaoi fangirl for all these years ever since I started as a teen, I used to have sh#tty views on men in the past during my Yaoi and Proshipper phase back then but as of growing up I'm starting to try and be open about the real issues in real life and I'm trying my best to be open and understanding as possible, and btw I'm no longer a Proshipper and I'm still a Yaoi fangirl but as someone who is part of the community, I can't just ignore the issues and normalization of bad behaviours and sexism of the community which is unfortunate it gives the Yaoi fangirls who don't participate in bad behaviours a bad name and it's sad bec there are times I feel ashamed of being a Yaoi fangirl, and what I'm hoping is that the Yaoi Community should call out bad behaviours instead of trying to act like being innocent all the time and did nothing wrong but also try to blame Misogyny as a defense card when people criticize their bad behaviors. Also Toxic Yaoi fangirls who participate in bad behaviours can be Misandrists themselves towards straight and gay men. Yes Misandry exists, stop trying to tell me it doesn't exist it's like saying Misogyny can't exist, Sexism in both genders can exist in Society.

I do not mind senstive, innocent boys as a whole, but it's almost as if they have one role in the yaoi community "Be the submissive, cute, passive" wife that takes crap from their abusive husbands. That is where I draw a line, and that just feels wrong to me.

I do not mind the submissive, feminine mother trope, but I also really love the strong, sexy, no-nonsense mother trope the most.

Mothers are stronger than you think, (Hell, they gave birth, and giving birth is 10 times worse than getting kicked in the balls) and I think that needs to be represented more in the yaoi/mpreg community.

Like if a male character you like gets pregnant, at least mix it up a bit.

I prefer a male character getting pregnant that doesn't take any nonsense from their hubbies (in fact the hubbies are more respectful, loving, romantic, and submissive than their badass mpreg uke ^^) and said badass male character getting pregnant, starts off hating the idea of being pregnant.... then slowly but surely (slow burn process) warms up to the idea of having a baby of their own, and are willing (either out of obligation or out of love) to give birth to their children, and have a soft side to them.

Plus it wouldn't hurt to see a sexy bara character, or the sexy bad boy character to have the role of a sexy mama.

junjou romantica did actualy change my identity and life in some way and i cant just ignore this, and the terrible parts and not supporting it can co exist in you heart with the good. ofc if you, want to cling to that at your will and not push that into others.

first of all junjou romantica really was/is (yes it is on going) a classic yaoi manga/anime that was a fire wreck with the first interactions with the main characters and romantical pair literal sa. And the way the author later explained with the coversation of the faris wheel (if im not wrong) and how she wrote misaki to say how he ""didnt fight back enough"" really really was bad taste and an terrible writting and really awful. and no i wont say "BUT"... it is, it is terrible and glamorification of abuse, specialy with their alredy questionable age gap (that is not the full problem but outlines how they have a gigantic unhealthy power dinamic), and yes i dont support the portrail and i dont stand with that idea of old gay representation, yet i cant forget junjou romantica. In all its problematic and terribleness, it was a queer history in the 2000s (manga) and 2010s (anime). it was my first mlm storie and it forever changed how romance(the actual real life thing and the genre) and relationship the idea of all that was re contructed and radicalized me. and yeah im not really that good at explaining so this might be shit writting arguments and yap (im sorry but I NEED TO GET THIS OUT OF MY CHEST) junjou romantica has Akihiko Usami is a really intresting character, not such a "complex deep" character but an idea of queerness that deeply opened the world for many, Usagi is directly gay, he never doughts his queerness and desires, his actions are perverted and proud. his identity simply is. and there is something that i believe changed peoples mind to queerness by how just kind of beautiful the non apologetic lust and pervergion Usagi portrayed is. yaoi is a midia created and consumed historically by feminine people and if your really reading all that you alredy know how and why that is, but still, to sum up. yaoi is the pure escape fantasy of romance and expecialy sexuality for women, for its lack of women actually being in a relationship and only using the hetero sex atracted, aka just like male dominated the visual porn and porn in general space is yaoi is kinda of similar, only diference that it outlines the opressive patriarchy with direct hints of how women are maginalized. anyway we got that away yaoi is a fantasie with people that cannot struggle the way women do and thus it is a safe space for feminine, yough afabs and women to express and consume sexual and romantical midia.

I will never understand why Vassalord was never made into an anime.

You have a nice yaoi who barely have “yaoi moments” that are subtle where it’s not pandering, the yaoi is a small part of the plot rather than the focus.

Their relationship is based off of being with each other for years, rather than these other yaois who usually start liking each other just after meeting each other or only after a few days.

The plot is great and intriguing, involving the story of “adam and eve” and fighting demons, so lots of good action but also tension the two main characters.

It could have been a macabre action anime with yaoi that could have linked action and yaoi fans and started more anime with yaoi that wasn’t so pandering. 

Instead we have this...

Not to say these other anime are bad, I haven’t watched them personally. They could be the most tear-jerking or comedic yaoi I haven’t seen.

If you like them, good for you. Slice of life isn’t much of my shtick, but I do love Devils the Part Timer.

And I’m not saying you shouldn’t be ashamed to liking this type of yaoi. Trust me, I’ve been there and done that. Yaoi is yaoi, fan-service is fan-service.

But when are there are such few yaoi because people are worried that it won’t have a big enough fan-base so they have to fan-service, or take romantic slice-of-lifes stories because it’s safe; it bugs me there is something that could link two fan bases, the action and yaoi fan base.

Vassalord could have been something to change the perception of stories with yaoi couples that wasn’t strictly romantic/slice-of-life but an ACTION anime with bits of romance.

And there could be some anime with some yaoi/yuri couples in it that is an action anime I haven’t seen, but their usually the secondary characters.

But this puts a YAOI COUPLE as the main characters that do things other than kiss, have romantic drama, or romantically fight with themselves. It’s an action anime WITH a yaoi couple as the main characters not just strictly about the romantic involvement with the two characters.

It defies the yaoi stereotype that the “uke” has to be either look like a naive girl or be so young you have to question if it’s legal, and the “seme” who has to be the know-it-all who always gets jealous and can remain emotionally-stable ALL THE TIME.

Though I do understand the sterotypical feminine male look and male pair stereotype of the “strict” and “loose” person but tbh that happens in most other anime, not just yaoi. But it makes sense that one is “loose” and “strict” since their relationship is a “student and master” type situation.

Anyway rant over, please go watch the OVA. It’s good trust me, PLEASE!
