Day 8 of #yogisspreadsmiles challenge, and today's pose is #revolvingboatpose . Today's quote is "Honor your connection to your body". Honor your mind, your body, your feelings,your emotions. How you feel s how you look. If you feel horrible on the inside, you'll never FEEL good or beautiful on the outside. If you're unhealthy inside so will you be outside. It could be anything - stress, overwork, heartbreak, insomnia, anxiety. Understand yourself, understand your mind, understand your body. Take a break, breathe, exercise, eat properly, don't starve yourself.. but don't overeat as well. I remember there used to be this time I was not at all confident about my body, plus I was dealing with immense stress and anxiety and insomnia and I either starved myself or binged on pastas and cheese and whatever I could get my hands on. And mentally and emotionally I was anyway damaged, I was ruining myself physically too. My weight kept fluctuating. I became extremely unhealthy and lost all my body strength. Slowly and steadily I started with minimalistic workouts, whether it was taking the stairs, or dancing for as long as I could (which was 10 mins max btw, as I got tired easily), going for walks orwalikg to places as much as I could, stretches, 7 min workouts watching YouTube videos. Bit by bit I started feeling better physically and mentally. Remember, your physical and mental state is connected. I was getting damaged on both ends. That's when I decided to do damage control before things got out of hand. I'm still learning, I'm still dealing with anxiety, stress and insomnia, but I'm better than before. I've started eating right. Even if it's in small doses. I'm trying. And I want you to do that too. Try. Because no one is going to do it for you. It's not an overnight process. Your healing will take time, physical, mental, emotional all of it. Be patient. Practice. Exercise. Don't give up. Have faith. Breathe. And it will all be good.
