The battle is growing dire, and Link more reckless by the day. If it weren't for her power, she knows he would be dead. Why must he continue to suffer, when she is the one cursed to bear this burden? He can not be convinced, so the most she can do is use that power for some good. She lends him her light so that he will not fall now.
Link has suddenly reappeared after being missing for years and is tasked with protecting Zelda's jeopardized soul! The two both are in tune with their ancient souls, capable of using them for important magic things such as changing their hair color (they're both brunettes until they use too much magic, then it goes silver/gold).

this is technically an oot au, but lots LOTS of things are different!
Link doesn’t ride the wolf, he is the wolf. Link is actually a kokiri in this, but a new type. The Kokiri can all transform into woodland animals. A great civil war caused every race in hyrule to separate (Hylians, Gorons, Zoras, and Gerudo). Because of this, the deku tree permitted no outsiders to enter the lost woods. He made link to protect them, the only kokiri who can grow up, live forever, and turn into a predator animal: a wolf. The kokiri keep their fairies, and they fuse with them when they transform.
As for the rest of the world: other societies decided to tame beasts after the war, thus why many characters have a giant animal companion. I thought a snowy owl really fit Zelda because owls fit her and I wanted a snowy owl idk. Impa has a unique beast that’s a combination of a polar bear and a leopard (if you guys have any name suggestions that would be awesome!)
The Gerudo don’t all have dragons, it’s just Ganondorf. The night he was born is when something shot from the sky, landing within the castle courtyard. The Gerudo soon learned it was a dragon of Din, thus they named it Dinroam and gifted it to Ganondorf taking it as a sign.
So far that’s all I got, but I hope it’s interesting nonetheless!
