guidelines

I’m willing to write with anyone no matter your writing, formatting, and image use (or lack of). I’m okay with one-liners, crack, multi-para, novella… everything! Feel free to send in any ask memes if we haven’t roleplayed before & even if it’s shippy. Ask memes are a great way to break the ice so I really don’t mind. If I follow you that means I want to rp with you so if you’re ever unsure and worried you might be bothering me, don’t. I’m cool with following/interacting with other Ayato writers.  

If I haven’t replied in two weeks (and I’m not on a hiatus) that means I probably lost our thread or it’s sitting somewhere in my drafts and I haven’t noticed it, so please message me to remind me about it. I won’t be annoyed or upset. I drop RPs sometimes out of a loss of interest but please don’t blame yourself. It is always a personal thing that has nothing to do with anyone else as a roleplayer. I’m always happy to start/write more regardless of dropping previous threads.

Don’t god mod. My character is mine, and yours is yours. Little things to move the thread along are fine with me, but don’t kill Ayato without even checking if that’s fine with me first (ask memes that call for it are an exception though, of course).

I LOVE writing ships, & I’d be happy to plot ships. I have some ships I like & gravitate to a bit, but where RP is concerned chemistry is prioritized. My blog is multi-ship, so any r/s my muse develops will be in a separate verse. I won’t have exclusives/mains unless stated otherwise. I will NOT write incest or pedophilia/underage content. Don’t ask me to.

I will interact with mutuals only. If I follow you I want to interact, so don’t hesitate to send me asks or IM me with plot ideas! I’m willing to RP with OCs & characters from other series. Personal blogs, please do not follow/reblog/like my posts.

There will be NSFW content on this blog so if you’re uncomfortable with that just blacklist the the following tags, as i tag all my nsfw posts with the following: “cw nsfw”, “nsfw //”, and “( nsfw. )”.  Feel free to ask me to tag anything you need tagged.  I am 25, so if a roleplay should ever come around to it I will only write smut with partners that are also of age & that I feel comfortable writing smut with. If you’d rather not roleplay smut publicly, I’m cool with continuing roleplays on discord. I’m also open to just private RPs (not necessarily smut) on discord too, just ask/lmk you’re interested!

I may cover dark topics during roleplays on this blog. It is likely there will be mentions of murder, blood/gore, toxic/unhealthy relationships and so on featured on my blog. I will of course tag what I feel needs to be tagged.

howdy! this is a new independent & semi-selective roleplay blog for kamisato ayaka from genshin impact. all pertinent information on my muse/blog can be found here.

rules are also below for ease since i am pinning this post.

SECTION 1. Writing.

I want to write with everyone! I enjoy having a variety of threads from one-liners and icons to brief responses and long-form text. I am flexible and reciprocate the energy given to me by my writing partner. I enjoy both serious threads and crack. I only ask that you don’t godmod or dictate how my character acts/feels. Ask memes are always a good way to start a thread, but I am also open to plotting. That can be done via Tumblr IMs or Discord. Your preference, really. Response speed may vary depending on multiple factors, but please note I don’t intend to ghost anyone. I am an adult with a career and side jobs so it can be a bit hectic on my end. 

 SECTION 2. Selectivity.

Although I say I am semi-selective, I tend to follow back most blogs. That said, there are exceptions. For example, one case I might not follow back is if I observe poor dash hygiene. I don’t really want a super clogged dashboard so I tend not to follow people who have a greater ratio of OOC posts compared to IC. Other things I like are cut posts and new threads for asks. The last two are not dealbreakers, though, but I consider this good dash hygiene. Additionally, I am a bit more hesitant to follow back OCs, but I can overlook that if there is some info I can get on the character. 

SECTION 3. Shipping.

I am truthfully on the fence about shipping. It will be done on a case-by-case basis. I will only really write shippy content if there is chemistry between the muses (our portrayals) or prior conversation between us OOC discussing the dynamic. I just want to make sure nothing is forced or awkward to write (LOL). Although I am 24, there will be absolutely no smut. 

 SECTION 4. OOC Conduct.

All I ask for is kindness and understanding. Always assume the best intentions from others and never yuck anyone’s yum. I work a stressful job and I am here for entertainment. Please don’t bring negativity and other exhausting energy in this space. If there is ever a time I do something that bothers you, please bring it to my attention directly. Also, bear in mind that I am not my character and would prefer to keep a clear distinction between what is IC and what is OOC.

       Ayato knows. He knows he can do anything he sets his mind to. Well, he has to. Responsibility has weighed heavily on his shoulders from the moment he became the Yashiro Commissioner, still as a child and on the heels of the untimely deaths of his parents. Even since then, Thoma was there, and he'd be forever thankful. Normally, they both knew that Ayato rarely let anything get to him. He approached all matters with a barely there, upturned but polite smile on his lips. He rarely complained, if ever, and it was often Thoma that had to be the one to put his foot down.

       Every once in a while, though, even a man like Ayato seemed to buckle under the weight of everything placed upon him. Try as he might, he still didn't think he could quite ever measure up to a fraction of what the Late Kamisato Lord and Lady were. He saw it in the judgmental sneers of the other commissioners, their whispered insults left unheard but not unknown by Ayato. He was too ambitious, too young, too insulting for thinking to try and change so much. He couldn't fathom why they all were so shortsighted... Well, he was starting to understand. The lot of them were corrupt, and he was at a loss to do anything about it.

       ❝ Thank you, Thoma, ❞ he begins. He hadn't even realized his hands were trembling before, nor his entire person, until Thoma had spoken and clasped a reassuring hand onto his shoulder. The nerves truly were getting to Ayato, it seemed. Some of his other retainers insisted that a vacation might have been in order, but he refused at every turn. Such a decision was coming back to slight him, as his body so evidently showed.

       ❝ Your presence is always as soothing as a crackling fireplace in winter. You know just what to say. I just... I worry. I feel a bit in over my head, and I've heard whispers about assassins spotted near the Kamisato Estate now—you don't think it's true, do you? ❞ He wasn't worried about himself so much as Ayaka and Thoma. Who could even be trying to do this... The other commissioners? He needed to get to the bottom of it.

       Dulcinea's words bring a small smile to Ayato's lips. He's not unused to compliments, it's just that such words of affirmation often mean so much more to those that are closer to oneself. He doesn't have very many people he can truly rely on, so he's glad he's added another to the list in the form of Dulcinea. Her presence was quite welcome at the Kamisato Estate. He'd been a bit skeptical when Ayaka first brought a talking cat home, but he's grown quite fond of his sister's feline companion since then.

       ❝ I am truly honored you think so highly of me, Dulcinea. The same can be said for you as well. You've helped lighten up spirits around the Kamisato Estate when things were particularly rough with the Vision Hunt and Sakoku Decrees going on, ❞ he says, smiling sincere and sweet. He reaches a gloved hand out to lightly ruffle the fur atop Dulcinea's head as a friendly gesture.

       ❝ That being said, I truly hope for your continued wisdom and assistance around here. ❞

       Although it is rare for Ayato to admit when he's long overdue for a break, he knows better than to completely forgo one unless he wishes to find himself passing out at his desk... which is something that actually does happen from time to time, but he's been meaning to make less of a habit of it. Thus, the proposal presented to him is enticing.

       ❝ An excellent idea! The sky looks particularly nice at a time like this, and there's a slight breeze in the air that would make a walk most relaxing. Is there something you wished to discuss with me as well? ❞ Perhaps something to do with the Yae Publishing House, he assumed. Or maybe some sort of event regarding literature?               Despite  their  rather  tight  bond,  it  is  actually  rare  for  the  Kamisato  siblings  to  spend  too  much  time  dabbling  in  more  sentimental  topics.  It  is  not  out  of  a  lack  of  desire  to,  but  rather  that  the  two  spend  so  much  time  focused  on  other  matters.  To  dwell  on  more  troubling  topics  would  only  serve  to  exhaust  either  of  them  further.  Ayato  does  not  mind  it.  In  fact,  he  regrets  that  he  does  not  make  more  time  to  act  as  simply  Kamisato  Ayato  rather  than  the  Yashiro  Commissioner.  Perhaps  it  is  time  to  start  changing  that.

“ Well, other than your retainer caught staring at my chest. I think there’s no other misunderstandings. ”

        “Oh dear. I must apologize on behalf of my retainer—he hasn’t felt well these days. I assure you, the Kamisato Clan would never condone such uncouth and lecherous behavior. Perhaps he was just tired and his gaze just happened to... fall. It must be a misunderstanding of that sort, yes,” Ayato explains, however, something horrifying happens in that moment. At her mention of what had occurred, Ayato too happened to lower his gaze for a fraction of a second. By the untrained eye, such a glance would be missed. He sincerely hoped she happened to miss that...

She explains then walk over to the commissioner and lifts his chin up with her nail.

“ I’m impressed that you still stomach the dinners I make you but you still won’t be bare with me. Are you just stubborn or fearful? Whether it’s resilience or not, it paints you as untrustworthy. Dare Yae Miko be right that you’re just a rascal. ”

She let go and pulls out fried squid in squid ink on a stick and holds it out to him.

“ Now tell me how this meal tastes next. ”

        “A rascal? That’s a bit harsh. I simply enjoy trying out new experiments with cooking too, is all,” Ayato says, blinking in surprise at the sudden contact. Was she cross with him? She sounded a bit cross. Even so, she presents him with a new meal and he has to fight back a grimace. Squid? That’s not bad at all, but knowing her... rather creative methods. He sighs, accepting the stick from her. 

        Hesitantly, though still offering her his politest smile, Ayato takes a bit of the fried squid on a stick. As he predicted, it tastes horrendous. He feels as though he’s consuming a dog’s vomit. He swallows it down, as much as he would like to just spit it out and plead with her to stop giving him these meals, but to do so would insult his archon, no? To imply that her cooking was so horrible it made him want to keel over and die? He couldn’t be so harsh. 

        “Do you want my honest opinion on the matter?” he says this, yet still debates whether he should actually be honest.

She hadn’t allowed Ayaka to gift her a kimono because she had wanted the younger sister to Ayato to save the money and put it to better use. She didn’t think she deserved the gift even though she had done so much for Inazuma. She felt like she didn’t deserve such a sweet gift from a friend. But now here was Ayato insisting on the same thing and two things this time for her to wear for a small festival within the Kamisato Estate.

Finally she relented, seeing that he was insisting. And it was mainly for the festival anyway. She’d take it out and wear it again for such things around Inazuma time and again. “That’s acceptable. Though… can I make a request? I heard that there can be patterns put onto kimono… would it be possible to add stars?” she asked him suddenly nervous. Albedo, Childe, Razor and many others had told her she reminded them of the stars or that her scent held the scent of stars or her aura itself was starry. Even she herself often referred to her being a fallen star.

        “That’s plenty fine, of course. It is for you, so I must insist that you ask the tailor to make it however you see fit,” he replied with an easy smile, pleased that she relented. He’d heard from Ayaka that Lumine was far too humble and selfless for her own good. No matter, he would show her the full extent of the Kamisato’s gratitude yet. 

        “Fortunately, I’ve finished my work early today, and Thoma offered to handle matters regarding the festival for the rest of the evening, so...” he offers his arm, gesturing for her to take it so that they might walk together. He did promise to cover the cost of these things for her, and this would likely be the best opportunity before the festival came around. 

        “Let’s head on over to Ogura Textiles and Kimonos now, shall we? We can try some of the street vendor delicacies too, if you’d like. You can even take some extra for Paimon.”

“Hellooooo, I do know how to play, y’know!” Itto pouted rather indignantly despite compliantly doing as the Kamisato suggested, even if he didn’t totally resent the advice. He tried to be more open-minded than his pride might’ve suggested and all. 

“I mean, I’m totally the expert between us! I’ve been playin’ for ages, so just know I totes know what I’m about!”

        “Right, of course you are. You’ve lost every match between us thus far, but that’s just bad luck, isn’t it?” Ayato can’t help but simper, just a bit. Itto was an entertaining fellow. He had to remember to frequent his and his gang’s so-called turf more often. 

        “Having all of the strongest attack cards will not lead you to victory. More valued than strength is strategy. You must remember that this game was developed in Sumeru, after all.” Ayato places two cards face down and moves his sole attack card into a defensive position. He almost feels sorry, but he can’t help the glee that fills him watching the other squirm, irritated and searching for a way to beat him.

“So you’re the esteemed Kamisato Ayato? Not bad,” he said, giving the other a once over.  “My first time visiting my birthplace and I run into one of the Kamisatos. I never anticipated that I would ever be graced by your presence.” Running into a noble when not wreaking havoc? That was a first. Scaramouche couldn’t say he liked it though. Sometimes he just wanted to be left, and this was one of those times. After all, he was there as a “visitor” rather than a threat. 

“Wouldn’t you like to know,” he smirked momentarily, amused that the other couldn’t fathom his existence. Of course that was the case. His birth was not common knowledge and while his Creator didn’t exactly hide him, she also didn’t publicize his existence as a potential rejected candidate for the gnosis. It would’ve threatened her goal to achieve eternity. Still, he didn’t intend to expose this detail. At least not at the moment. 

“Wow, do you hear yourself? That’s absolutely ridiculous. The Shogun having a child she disposed of? I can’t believe you’d make such a rude assumption of our archon,” he adds in his nicest tone as nice as he can be, catching himself before he can reveal too much information. 

      “Very true. You will have to excuse my crass questions. I was merely taken aback. The resemblance is quite uncanny, though I’m certain you’ve heard this before,” Ayato said, offering up his apologies. He remained skeptical and wary of this character. It was hard not to, and that would explain his decision to be so bold with his questions in the first place. Someone that looked exactly like the shogun, who seemed to be visiting... 

      “If you don’t mind me asking, where were you staying prior to returning to Inazuma? And for how long? I’d like to know your name as well, traveler, considering I’ve so kindly introduced myself.” Would these questions trip the stranger up? He was curious. Something was undeniably off. Could there be some sort of nefarious magic or science at play? Was it the work of something supernatural? He doubted that, but his gut told him this character was not to be taken lightly.
