You don't need a fancy altar, to give offerings every single day, or spout off chants to the gods. Maybe some gods like this, but the Norse gods are all about recognition. If you acknowledge them in some fashion, then you are worshipping them and are valued.
If a person has an experience where the Norse gods want them to do a specific thing in a specific way, then that is that persons experience. It doesn't filter over into someone else's because that's what the gods chose for that person.
Your practice doesn't have to be extravagant and filled with beautiful statues, or any tools. You can find the gods in nature wherever you are in the world. You don't need to be part of a cult or group, or understand magic. The history behind Norse paganism is very obscure and there is no clear understanding of ancient practices in a historical sense. Even if there were, we are free to explore and create with what we think is right or good. You don't need divination to tell you how to perform when it comes to the Norse gods. They'll tell you in your life, in some kind of way.
This has been my experience and statement. People will disagree with it, that's reality. No one can put a value on your belief except yourself.
i use a normal ass hammer to sanctify spaces. just like they did 1,000 years ago. a normal ass hammer.
