Hi sorry random blurb. It forced its way into my mind while I was doing night shift so in between waiting for QC results to come out I quickly wrote it down in my notes app. And now I felt like posting it here.

TLDR: LADS Xavier angst(??)

Xavier thought he knew how she looked when she was in love.

After all the missions. The hangouts. The nights together. He thought he knew her gentle gaze and sweet smile. Her comforting voice as she lulled him to sleep next to her.

That was until he showed up. She introduced him as her childhood friend. He was tall. Built. But the look in his eyes was unnerving. The friendly smile he shot Xavier didnt even reach his eyes. Hypocritical of Xavier to say considering all he did was size up the man.

Then he saw it. Her grin and the sparkle in her eyes as she latched onto the man's arm, calling his name in a whiny tone. It was like she was a child again. The man looked at her like she was his whole world, his expression ever so gentle. He loved her.

She excused themselves and Xavier watched as they walked to the lift together. As the doors closed, he noted how the man ruffled her hair endearingly. And he didnt miss the way she puffed her cheeks out in annoyance but her following smile made his heart drop.

She loved him too.
