it's finally that time of the year again for the clinically depressed newscaster describing february with disco elysium music
what is the single best line in this video
it's a month that doesn't hold up life any better than it really is
something great happened here but it's over with and that's the way february is
like the desperate flinging off of something that's not true anymore
the expedition is getting desperate. people are throwing things aside
this looks like a place where people who are being punished are sent
nobody is tap dancing or breaking into a rogers and hammerstein song
theyre just barely able to get across the street and hunker over a bowl of chili
most of the birds who can afford it have flown to florida
it's as if there's some awful truth out there in the trees
something that's been bothering you for a long time is out there. what is it?
to hide the bleakness of feb., man invented valentine's day. also mardi gras.
what other month can host a holiday designed to remind us we're all gonna die?
character limit forced me to paraphrase
I think we need to standardise the definition of a "fog" as a tea latte, typically but not necessarily flavored, with a brown-ish or grey-ish color. I'm sorry but a matcha latte is not a fog. It's bright green.
I also think there need to be more variations so I looked some up online and also tried to come up with some, which still need to be tested.
London Fog (earl grey vanilla latte) ✅
Lavender London Fog (earl grey lavender latte) ✅
Dublin Fog (Irish breakfast vanilla latte, occasionally with Irish Cream) ✅
Cork Fog (Irish breakfast hazelnut latte)
New England Fog (earl grey salted maple latte) ✅
Tokyo Fog (earl grey yuzu latte) ✅
Kyoto Fog (spiced hojicha latte) ✅
Wellington Fog (earl grey mānuka honey latte)
Frisian Fog (Assam tea sea buckthorn honey latte)
Portland Fog (black tea and peppermint latte) ✅
Valencia Fog (black tea honey almond latte)
Fujian Fog (Lapsang Souchong latte)
Bangalore Fog (spiced black tea vanilla latte) ✅
Darjeeling Fog (Darjeeling latte)
Taipei Fog (milk oolong vanilla latte)
Seoul Fog (buckwheat or barley brown sugar tea latte) ✅
Jeju Fog (earl grey tangerine latte)
open for suggestions, variations and feedback.
I further propose that an iced version of any of these is a "sun" so an iced earl grey yuzu latte is a "Tokyo Sun".
We also need a name for tea lattes that are green-ish or yellow-ish (like anything based on green tea, white tea, turmeric or chamomile) and I propose "Dew" but I'm open to suggestions.
@sleepanon
Okay fair point what about this:
Fog: hot tea latte (brown or grey)
Haze: iced tea latte (brown or grey)
Moss: hot tea latte (green or yellow)
Dew: iced tea latte (green or yellow)
Sun: Iced tea (because you drink it when it's hot and sunny)
After further feedback I'd also like to suggest:
Ottawa Fog: black tea maple apple latte
Montreal Fog: Assam tea maple blueberry latte
Maine Fog: Assam tea maple blueberry oat milk latte
Massachusetts Fog (aka Bog Fog): black tea salted maple cranberry latte
Vancouver Moss: matcha salted maple rosemary latte
Jaipur Moss (aka Amber Fort): turmeric latte
Cotswolds Moss: chamomile latte

I played this for SO many people when it came out a couple of days ago. She's so on-point here.

Check out my ongoing comic Crow Time. It has crows, and also neat pantheons of epic beasties.
masks and helmets that hides someone's face in such a way that they become the face themselves my beloved
these are all creatures to me
Angel of War, angular and strange, gleaming silver and gold, Angel of Wonder, pure and one-eyed, looking to stars new and old, Angel of Harvest, simple and hidden, bring nature's sweetness to all, Angel of Health, mysterious and fine, beacon when life starts to fall, Angel of the Deep, crooked and cage-like, guide us across the sea, Angel of Solace, protect us from evil, lead us to where we are free.
Was inspired by the previous post a while back, and had been working on this on and off for a long while.
You can see the full-resolution versions on My Patreon.
I love all of these. The angel of the the deep's wings are canvas, held up by an anchor. The angel of war's wings are blades, and its shield is a coffin. The angel of solace is a mutant, its arms deforming into wings. Geiger counter in hand, it guides us through the danger only it knows. Was this angel once a man? Corrupted now beyond hope, he can at least save others from the same fate.
this shit is so incredibly cool that i cannot and refuse to attempt to properly articulate it
