here is a super sloppy gif I tossed together showing the packing method for this piece! For things like this with fragile bits (the claws) typical wrap and pack just wouldn't suffice. + this way the box can be reused if it needs to be stored or shipped again!
Materials I used:
For something larger than this, I would have used ratchet straps instead of zip ties and placed a piece of drywall or wood under the foam for even stronger support. Very large pieces would require a traditional wooden crate + foam system.

Your fic with Luca is one of the best things that happened! Its funny, sexy, witty. There is Shane showing off his fancy appliances, there is Luca, who already prepared and was ready to be spitroasted in the first 5 minutes of their meeting, and there is Shane throwing Luca over the shoulder and NOT SHARING
so i just watched the hadestown proshot and holy fucking shit i truly think that that is the best proshot i have ever seen so here are some specific things i really loved

Among the many amazing aspects of the Hadestown pro-shot, one of my favorites is the way Patrick Pages injury provides an excellent example of how disability does not have to be barrier to musical theatre. The way his injury was presented, especially in Hades and Persephone's dance, shows how with enough care, choreography and blocking can be modified for a disability and still present a beautiful story. In fact, the pro-shot shows how disability can not only be accommodated, but also utilized for characterization and storytelling.
I distinctly remember a point when I thought to myself, ‘Oh I’ll never cosplay Gale’s camp outfit, with all that embroidery….’ 😅
Anyway, I saw a post talking about how GenAI has become a plague in the embroidery world, with so many fake projects and patterns, and it made me angry. I’ve come to love embroidery because it’s such a slow, detail-oriented craft, and for this project especially, it was an expression of dedication and how much Gale means to me as a character. And I’m sure there are countless others who feel similarly about their embroidery projects.
GenAI, parasitic and false, has no place here, or in any other form of art. It cannot feel, and it cannot create all the extraordinary art made by human hands and hearts.
