i love writing out numbers and then putting them in parentheses like "one (1)" even when i dont need to i think its funny
You are 60% water and every lake, river, pond, swamp, creek, and ocean you encounter wants to reclaim it desperately. Be careful out there.
Good, I hope it haunts everyone about to enter a body of water so bad that they wear a life jacket. 🙌
Every single person I knew (past tense) who has drowned was "a strong swimmer." Water in the wild does not care how good you are at swimming.
I mean this with all due respect:
You are not going to pass a skillcheck against a rip current once it has you.
Waves will not bow to your physical prowess no matter how impressive.
Shock does not care that you used to be on your school swim team.
If you hit your head, being good at swimming isn't going to turn you face-up while you're unconscious.
You may be unable to return to shore. Rescue may be unable to find you quickly.
out of curiosity, how many books have you read this year

Can I carry it with me? I want to survive 🥺
my guy are you even listening to these horses?
I have a client who communicates exclusively via Microsoft Word.
If she has something to tell me, I’ll receive an email with nothing in the body, but a Word doc attached. That’s where she writes her message.
Whenever she wants to email me a photo, she does so via an empty Word doc with said photo set as its background.
But my favorite thing was the first time I witnessed her visiting a website. She had me spell the URL (“W… W… W… dot…”) and with my own two eyes I watched her type it into Word, made it a hyperlink, and Ctrl click it to go there.
I was so fascinated I didn’t even say anything.

Humpback whales breaching: gorgeous, majestic, graceful, embodies all the strength and beauty of the ocean
Minke whales breaching: I will launch myself out of this ocean like a f***ing surface-to-air missile to seek and destroy my enemies
I remember an interview with a guy that did the camera work for nature documentaries and he said that baleen whales like these guys were the scariest things to shoot because “They’re the size of a train, they can suddenly appear out of nowhere in dark or murky water and they don’t make a goddamn sound. I was absolutely sure that one of them was going to hit me and well, ‘that’s all folks!’. Gave me a lot of perspective on how I handle myself when filming smaller animals now.”
Fin whales breaching: sea serpent
levitating minke whale
Sperm whale breaching: wjaht the fuck
I have a feeling I have already shared this, but please, take the contribution of the northern right whale dolphin.

Eyes of the forest. Aspen trees
No bc aspens are wild. They rarely reproduce sexually, instead they send up new trunks from their roots. Theres a grove in Utah that is a single genetic individual called Pando. New research suggests it’s the oldest living thing on the planet being between 16,000 and 80,000 years old. In other words, there is a grove of trees, that is actually one tree, that has been alive longer than humans have been around to see it, and its covered in eyes.
backrooms good....
there are literally worse things than being in a saw trap like for instance openly expressing that you have wants and needs and are a real person
every time i say velociraptor is very important to imagine a turkey-sized predatory bird and not the weird lizard thing from jurassic park
you have to love her. you have to
