@teasideblogs
You can only reblog this today.
I missed my chance last year. Not gonna let it happen again
I made this in reference to comic/game stuff but I’m glad to see this one’s going over well with all the writers
Reblog to give your followers and mutuals the strength to continue

🚨 EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS 🚨
Earlier this month my laptop suddenly shut off and stopped working. It will be very difficult to cover the expenses for the new laptop so any help will be really appreciated 💕
The goal is $500
For more information make sure to check out my carrd, which is linked in bio. There you will be able to find more commission options and read the terms of service.
It's totally okay if you can't buy a commission, even just sharing this post would be a huge help! 💖
I don't know who needs to hear this, but
YOU DO NOT NEED TO START A NEW HOBBY!
STEP AWAY FROM THE TEXTILES!
YOU DON'T NEED MORE YARN!
THAT FABRIC IS NOT CALLING TO YOU! LEAVE IT ALONE!
boy it's me the textiles speaking to you inside your head. you need the yarn. you need thread. your soul hungers to participate in the act of creation. you must feed it. you must buy so many beads.
All of the remaining artfight attacks! I had a lot of fun this year and it was great meeting new people! 💖 Honestly I feel a bit sad about it ending, the time given wasn't enough to draw all of the characters 😔
Characters belong to:
1. @tanilluu
2. Salsalsal and Rikoicoico (on artfight)
3. elodeas
4. @teasidesketches
5. motaberrie
6. @alleesaur
7. DoryakiDoodles
8. @daclium
9. @k0nfette
10. cutiebudgie
"I want old fandom culture back, but proshippers are disgusting, don't bring them into this" a real life TikTok post that I saw btw.
YOU CANNOT HAVE OLD FANDOM CULTURE BACK WITHOUT PROSHIPPING.
what the fuck do people think "proshipping" means anyway
I keep seeing it referenced as some kind of badge of dishonor
it means
"in favor of shipping and the freedom to ship whatever"
that's it
no, it does not stand for "problematic shipping" which is a real thing I saw someone try to claim
it came about as a response to ANTI-shipping
as in people being weird and toxic about other people's ships
like, stop that
that's what it means
Ship And Let Ship.
That's all it means.
The Money Tubbs only comes around every 5628 seconds. Reblog the Money Tubbs and you’ll find money!
Bitttchhh the last time I reblogged some bullshit like this I booked a 2k 30minute shoot lmao
I received 2k 2 days after reblogging this
“is this character good or bad” “is this ship unproblematic or not” “is this arc deserving of redemption or not” girl…
I feel fandom would get along a lot better if there was mutual understanding that liking a character, agreeing with a character, and thinking the character is well constructed/executed are all separate (if often overlapping) positions, each with their separate tastes and subjectivities. Also: character portrayals are intended to make the audience feel things; this is separate from (if often overlapping with) analyzing/appreciating their actions and role in the story.
Another branch of this: I also think fandom would get along better if there was mutual understanding that what you personally want to happen in a story, what you think the characters should do within the context they have, and what you think the characters will do within the context they have, are all separate (if often overlapping) positions, each with their own tastes and subjectivities, which are also separate from (if often overlapping with) whether you enjoy the story and all that is furthermore separate from (if often overlapping with) analyzing whether the story has laid out and successfully executed its narrative arcs, themes, conclusions, etc.
You can fight AI in indie publishing by leaving reviews.
Seriously.
Ai-generated garbage is flooding the self-publishing market. It works as a numbers game- put out ENOUGH fake crap and eventually someone’s aunt will buy them the ebook as an unwanted gift, and you’ll have made two dollars. This tactic works at SCALE, which means real independent titles are now a needle amongst a haystack of slop.
If you have read a book this year that has less than 5 reviews, your rating is an algorithmic spotlight on that needle.
A one sentence review helps. Really. A star rating helps if you really can’t think of anything to say, but if you can muster up even “I laughed at the part about the tabby cat” you are doing indie authors a favor like you cannot believe.
(Also if you left a review on one of my books this year I am kissing you so softly on your forehead and I adore you)
as a former indie author i cannot express how much even one single sentence review can mean to sales.
so if you care about supporting authors take a sec to leave one!
tags from coloredcompulsion:

“I am very much the guy who’s here.”
touching grass isn't enough some of y'all need to drive out to the countryside and look at the stars
this post was aimed at the discourse-addled and terminally online, but i'm glad it's reaching an audience of people who are just excited about stargazing in general
People used to comment on web comics.
People used to comment on fanfiction.
People used to comment on fanart.
People used to comment on OCs.
I hate "content" culture.
I hate "consuming content" and scrolling immediately to the next thing.
People used to be excited about the art that other people created.
People used to want to share that excitement with creators.
I hate this future.
Once someone tagged art that I made with "woah" and I think about it at least once a week. Someone else said "oh neat" once. Someone else WROTE A WHOLE DAMN POEM IN THE COMMENTS. Anyways even just one word can change how someone sees their art. You don't even have to think about it too hard. You could put a keyboard smash and I'd probably cry from joy.
I'm also trying hard to interact more, I understand that it's hard to break away from opening your phone and being in Content Consumption Mode.
I honestly hadn't stopped to think about this until I saw this post... I used to think people would get annoyed if they were notified everytime someone posted a comment on their art. I never thought about it being like fanfiction and that they might appreciate comments. Frick, that means I'm part of the problem on here. Thats gotta change.
Every tag, every comment, every reblog with some kind of reaction/opinion or even just one word. All of these things are precious to creators!
I spent countless hours reading and rereading tags full of love people left under my art. All the people i could gift a laugh to or even inspire with something I made mean more to me then you could ever know.
It's what makes me proud of my art!
And to think that you could have enjoyed my art in silence and I would have never known.
A very special shout out to the person who tagged "these mcgriddles make me want to shit so bad" on fanart in 2013 I think about you once a day
A classic 🍋
it disturbs me that a significant number of people think that the issue with sexual violence, gendered violence, and misogyny is sexual desire rather than dehumanization, so they are relentlessly suspicious of others' (and their own) desires while simultaneously never at all interrogating others' (and their own) dehumanizing beliefs about other people, both within and outside of sexual contexts
#and at the root you'll find the misunderstanding of sexual violence as a violent extension of sex. #when in reality sexual violence is a sexual extension of violence. and the distinction is important.
Sexual violence has as much to do with sexual desire as beating someone with a rolling pin has to do with baking an apple pie.
Intellectualism is not just stoic enjoyment of abstract concepts. It's girlish delish of abstract concepts. Like,
"The curtains were blue, representing the closed-off nature of their outlook triggered by a childhood sadness rooted in the home"
me: *twirling my hair, giggling, kicking my feet, getting freaky with* oh? Tell me more.
"What about men?"
That old-ass professor in a bow tie will also giggle and blush if you talk enough about Poe's use of linguistic burlesque in his environmental storytelling
