not using AI genuinely feels like the rest of the world is experiencing some kind of mass amnesia. if someone says they never use it, the immediate response is that can't be true because "everyone" uses it to write their emails or answer their questions. saw a comment suggesting that not using chatgpt to write an essay is "like the 90s". girl I graduated in 2021 and we weren't doing that! how is it that everyone has suddenly forgotten that they were entirely capable of doing these things all by themselves for their entire lives up until the past few years!! am I going crazy!!!

I love how Suzanne Collins emphasizes how young all of the victims of the hunger games are, and how little panem cares about their kids.

not just district kids but all kids in general like almost all of the time if they have something risky that needs to be done it's a kid or a young young adult doing it. It's always someone below the age of like 21, all of the mentors in ballad of songbirds and snakes are teenagers, they're in school.

In sunrise on the reaping Haymitch often mentions how young all of the capitals involved are, His stylists are barely a few years older than him. They have the training in the school gymnasium where the first people in danger if a tribute escaped would be school kids, The gamemakers that are sent into the games and are killed Haymitch mentions are barely older than them.

They look like they could be tributes in the games, like they are most likely under 21 for a 16 year old to think that.

I just find it so interesting that it's not just that they don't value district lives but they dont value childrens lives as a whole. They are considered expendable even if they're capitol children.

The best thing about sunrise on the reaping is how it changes the dynamics between Plutarch, Haymitch and Effie. Plutarch goes from a rebel mastermind who Haymitch is aware of, to this annoying dude who has been meddling with Haymitch and Effie for 25 years. Like he could almost be their friend, but you know he gets on their damn nerves. He is almost their friend but they know he would sell them to satan for one corn chip. 10/10 dynamic. No notes.
