Something I love about BoJack Horseman (the show) is that it never excuses the abusive behavior of its characters.

When we see the flashbacks of BoJack or Beatrice, we are never meant to take them as excuses for their actions, just explainations.

Hell, I'd argue the show doesn't even necessarily ask you to feel bad for them, just to understand.

The show takes you by the hand and says, "Hey, you know that abusive asshole? Here is what made them that person. Do with that information what you will."

I don’t even know how to express both the relief and shame in seeing a ceasefire occur now, after all this death and suffering. It didn’t have to be this way. The genocide in Gaza has been practically live streamed for two years and still the world turned its back on the people there. This ceasefire is only the beginning of what will surely be a long fight for a free Palestine and the return of its people. We all need to have hope and, most importantly, do more.
