Some of my mutuals have been posting/reblogging transphobia so lemme give a reminder.

-TMA/TME language is radfem rhetoric.

-Identifying as a trans man doesn't immediately give someone male privilege.

-Women who take testosterone exist. Men who take estrogen exist.

-Men can still very much be affected by misogyny.

-Yes there can be some trans men that are misogynistic, and they should be held accountable for their words and actions, but that does not give a right to say "all trans men are terrible".

-"Kill all TMEs" is supporting genocide.

-Intersectional feminism includes ALL men. Intersex men, black men, indigenous men, other men of color, disabled men, immigrants, Jewish men, etc etc.

-If you are not society's perfect vision of a "man", then you're rejected by the patriarchy. The patriarchy hurts EVERYONE.

I'm not sure how trans men are treated in Europe, but we are very much oppressed literally everywhere else. Me identifying as a trans man doesn't remove my breasts that make everyone think I am a woman. It doesn't remove my uterus and ovaries that I can't receive healthcare for. It doesn't remove the F on my birth certificate. It doesn't remove my chances of being murdered or raped in a public street. The majority of trans men do not pass as cis men, and even if they do, they still likely have an F on their birth certificate and "female" reproductive organs. Trans men are oppressed, period.

Supporting trans women/femmes means nothing if you don't support ALL trans people in their gender ID and transition. I'm glad people are finally supporting trans women, but you have to support us all.

i think the problem is both, actually. i think that, if you resort to calling someone stupid, then you know that you do not actually have a valid argument.

tme/tma are neither about "lived experience" or identity labels. they're about describing pre-existing opressive systems. just describing these doesn't "invent" a new binary. similar to abled/disabled, cis/trans, non-black/black, etc.

indeed, it is generally nice to want to explain our own point of view about a certain subject to someone else. but, perhaps, it is better when you do read what the other wrote.

most transfeminists— as much as we can call them that— who uses these terms use it, normally and by their own words— that means that it does not mean they use it that way—, to differentiate trans women and transfems (who experience systemic transmisogyny) from anyone else (who do not experience systemic transmisogyny, usually).

so, first of all, it is completely useless as transfems and trans women are the ones who experience systemic transmisogyny the most. And second of all, it is not even accurate because nobody is really exempted from any type of oppressions, especially not queer people.

binary just means two. like the binary code is called that because we only uses 1 and 0, hence it makes two numbers used. as a suffix, bi, in general, means two. it is, by definition, a binary.

abled and disabled just describes whether someone has a disability or not. it says nothing about oppression.

cis and trans are adjectives that describe someone's gender, they're not even mutually exclusive. it, again, says nothing about oppression.

non-Black and Black just describes whether someone is black or not. i am repeating myself but it does not say anything about oppression.
