The amount of times that I’ve heard “If you really loved me, you’d fight for me.” and I’ve been like “Well, if I really respected you and cared for you then I’d want you to be happy, rather than wanting you to do whatever it is that I want you to do.” and they come out with “So, what, you don’t want to be with me?” and I’m like “It’s not about what I want.
