Happy Transgender Day of Visibility.
This might seem silly but knowing that J. Jonah Jameson is a civil rights activist and thus would be upset with me about rampant transphobia and anti-trans legislature keeps me going. He saw me transition many times and never left.
Transfemme Spidey where she transitions in costume first, debuting as "Your friendly neighborhood Spiderwoman". It's NYC so this is mostly received either positively or without much notice. New Yorker don't really give a damn who they gotta fight if it's a fight.
Jonah remains oddly silent on the issue.
Parker, however, eventually works up the need to transition in her civvy life and comes out at work as Emily. The Bugle crew are happy and supportive, but she gets called into Jameson's office.
"Parker."
"Sir?”
"This is because of her, isn't it?"
"'Her'?"
"The Spider! This transition thing you're doing, it's because of her, isn't it? I know you're close; this is her doing, isn't it?”
"Well, sir, I–”
"Whatever. I'm... Grateful to her."

So I saw this on X (credits to aiaio/@ 0trebot) and thought to my self that knowing how Jonah is, this might be a bit different.
Like hear me out I feel like he would still hate trans Spider-Man (or Spider-Woman in this case) but not because she is trans, no he still hates her because she's still a menace in his eyes and although he hates her he will be damned before he ever misgenders someone. Just hear me out on this, a transphobic news anchor tries to talk to Jonah about why they think Spider-Woman is bad but it ends up with Jonah in jail because he assaulted the transphobic news anchor because he keeps misgendering spider-woman and no matter how many times that Jonah corrects him that it's Spider-Woman not Spider-Man now, because j. Jonah Jameson ain't no bigot and he will whoop ass if someone tries to be a bigot in his presence

Do you tell your villains?
Do you keep it a secret so no one can connect Spider-Man with your secret identity for a while? Or do you pop a pronouns pin on your costume and the next time you web up Doctor Octopus and he goes "I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME SPIDER-MAN" you go "Spider-Girl actually! I've been figuring out some shit"

Overwhelming consensus on this post is that you should come out in your superhero identity first, and then a couple weeks down the line come out in your secret identity and when people ask just go “Oh seeing Spider-Girl come out really gave me the confidence to come out myself” which is the best possible answer
I love that OP knew enough about Spidey lore to know Jamison would be fine with whatever way anyone wanted to present themselves, he ONLY has problems with SPIDER-PERSON in particular. 😂👍

A lot of my vegetarian friends don’t get why I still eat meat even though I mostly eat vegetarian with just occasional meat when left to my own devices and at the end of the day it’s because I just don’t have the same moral issues involved with killing animals that they do.
Yes I love animals. I don’t love them because they’re cute and I feel bad for killing them though. I love them as part of the broader ecosystem. I respect them. Probably more than they respect me, because at the end of the day I know that a chicken wouldn’t hesitate to eat me if it had the means and I don’t see why I shouldn’t strike first.
I’m just not ashamed of being an omnivore. Yes this chicken was once an individual. Thank you chicken for your sacrifice. You were delicious and gave me some very necessary B vitamins.
A lot of the vegetarians that I know are vegetarian in a “feel bad if they step on a cockroach” kind of way.
The difference between me and them is that I recognize myself as an animal defending its territory. Cockroaches spread disease into your food storage. Therefore, they are a home security threat and I shall act as a proper ape should when faced with this kind of threat and stomp on it without remorse.
Many people see differently to me about these things. I know because I am friends with some of them. And yet I am called upon when necessary so the cockroach blood may not be on their hands but instead is on mine.
Being the designated bug stomper and snake catcher in most groups you’re in can kind of give you a perspective sometimes on your existance as an animal. What am I but an ape throwing a snake out of my tree? An ape that has the ability to make chicken nuggets.

Because not only are they having to deal with cramping and mood swings and cravings and exhaustion and acne and bloating and Blood Everywhere and having to pay for the blood being fucking everywhere and the headaches and backaches and the fucking Cramping and Mood swings,
They also have to be constantly, viscerally aware of the fact they have a vagina from the moment they wake up to the moment they fall asleep—IF they fall asleep because periods can affect that shit too
that’s not true, though. yes, the cockroach provides threats but what the hell did the chicken do to you? “thank you chicken for your sacrifice” that chicken did not consent to being sacrificed and it literally wasn’t necessary to sacrifice the chicken. that chicken had its life forcefully taken from it for the sake of chicken nuggets that you will eat once and then forget. it’s cruel and it’s horrible and you SHOULD have moral justifications against it.
Polar bears don’t ask for consent before eating humans. Anyways, I’m gonna keep getting the chicken before it gets me first.
if you can't be vegan for the sake of animals, you should for the fact that it is the single most polluting and water intensive form of agriculture
Yeah that’s why I mostly eat chicken when I do eat meat. Less greenhouse gas emissions.
Individual actions aren’t what’s gonna change all of that though. We need regulations.

I mean I’m very much against destroying the planet. I think there ought to be more regulations on animal agriculture to reduce emissions and cruelty involved. When it’s my choice on what to eat I also prefer to eat chicken which pollutes less than beef or pork.
But yeah I don’t feel bad about killing things to eat them. Eating an onion also kills the onion and I continue to eat onions. Some people don’t eat root vegetables for this reason. How far do you want to take the not killing things to feed yourself thing? That’s ultimately up to you because there is no objective correct answer.
Me? I don’t feel bad about chickens dying to feed me. They are plentiful and I am an animal that needs B vitamins. They die to give me B vitamins just as an onion dies to give me vitamin C. Someday my ashes will feed the worms that feed the birds and the microorganisms of the soil. God willing, my dust will be useful.

See, putting the death of a chicken on equal moral footing as the death of a human being is part of the reason people are suspicious of militaristic vegans. They’re usually the type to ignore like the legitimate environmentalist reasons for hunting and health reasons that people might not be vegan and the attempted erasure of indigenous hunting practices, etc. There’s nuance to eating meat just as there’s nuance to eating plants. Eating plants isn’t a bloodless blameless practice either. Plants have personal experiences and are individuals. Plants might have to be shipped long ways. Plants might have been grown with child labor.
Do you eat chocolate? Do you drink coffee? Do you drink almond milk? Eat corn? Quinoa? Palm oil? Use cotton? There’s death and destruction involved with those things too.
