Mkay so the other night I had a dream where it was kinda like a therian camp somewhere I used to live and I helped build things and sort territory and we all howled together (I'm not often in wolf shift but howling is so satisfying no matter the shift much of the time)

But what I really want to talk about is that creek I use to roam in said dream,the entire days I'd spent outside barefooted in bramble water and mud foraging for my breakfast for the next day building a den deep in the dense thicket of Japanese knotweed and just being one with nature,my animal souls in their natural habitat and commencing habits.

The salmon berries I'd forage and wrap tightly in leaves I weaved together then stored to stay cool and packed away in the quick mud spot for the next morning that never made me sick thankfully haha

The creek playing a constant babble to ease me one of the best sounds ever walking bare footed soaking my legs in the cold water on the slick stones and building a little bridge for when it's too cold and easier passage

The sticks is collect in my den the secret path only I could fit and find and the Japanese knotweed providing shade and a cool spot to nap in the hot summer watching the humans from my territory knowing they wouldn't be able to find me.

Objectively, ok, vultures are ugly. But when I see a vulture with warts and wrinkles or a long and lanky neck or extra flaps of limp skin or even covered in blood and shit, I see myself.

And I think I'm pretty, maybe even beautiful.

Being a vulture helped me see that.
