Hey! for some reason tumblr is not letting me send messages via my main, Sorry to disturb ya but I have a couple of questions. I’m asking this to everyone that I can right now in anon anonymous (the ones that are mostly active/aware of the server) so the message might seem a bit copy and pasty

So yk two people who are engaged who joined the server and kinda changed up the entire thing? I just want to know what you think about it. I’m more or less collecting statements for Egg and Dizzy about what we think about the server right now due to the fact they were both unaware of this at the time. Because me personally, I don’t have a hating bone in my body, but I absolutely DESPISE what’s going on recently and the server hasn’t felt the same since they joined (especially N). Considering the mini arguments they had with server members (and I can somewhat understand where they’re coming from with their own traumas and experiences) but as of right now, the anon server feels less like the friend server we were used to with its own charm to another cookie cut server.

I’m just here collecting opinions, you don’t have to respond or give an opinion but it would be nice if you do!!

So first of, hi,I'm Dizzy or Maze, and I have been a mod in 2 servers in total, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I start off with this bc the situation in the anon discord feels similar to one in the other discord server I moderated (not 1 to 1, but the vibes are here). I won't elaborate bc I prefer not to think about it too much tho.

Now some things that bother me:

First off, 2 ppl (systems but y know... accounts....idkhowtocallthem)who had not read htfasj joined the server (cool, awesome) then they start criticizing ppl in the server(that they almost just met... i think?)

They get promoted to the mod team (??? Whatever you can't just randomly promote ppl as mods I think???)

Restructure the server (we (egg and I) made for ppl we knew (fellow anons) ) as if it was a public genloss server???

They do that at 4am for me and 3am for egg (2/3 of the og mod team absent) and without our input (this is egg's server)

Ask egg to transfer the ownership to whatever???? THE MODS HAVE AS MUCH POWER AS THE OWNER WHY DO YOU WANT WHATEVER YO BE THE OWNER? (<- has been in servers where the owner doesn't show up anymore with no problem related to that)

Randomly bring up syscourse? And basically accuse ppl of not being systems? (As far as I know Kat didn't say they were a system but I wasn't in on the conversation (cause I was asleep, it was 3 am)

online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.

and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.

there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.

i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

I'm really sad that Ship Jumping is going to be over soon.

I've been crying for three days straight over people deciding to leave their Anon Blogs and I thought that it was because I felt guilty for the recent twist making people think they had to leave, but I think that I'm just sad at the idea of this community we've built up over these past four months disappearing.

I'm sad that there will be no more amazing fan art, no more interesting interactions between askers and characters, no more people filling the ask box faster than I can empty just wanting to be the next person to ask Whatever vital question is on everyone's mind.

I'm so sad that all of this is going to be over soon and I can't even handle it.

I love all of you so much. You were the best group of stray cats I ever had. I love the art you made and even though I kind of de-canonized them I loved your Anon-sonas! I love how funny and perceptive and kind you all are and how hard you fought to give these characters a happy ending. The idea that I may never interact with you or talk about generation loss with you and draw art for you or vice versa just kills me and I'm so sad that all of this is going go away forever.

This was an incredible experience and I can't stop crying.
