The Adventures of Tintin & Me (Les aventures de Tintin et Moi) was an art experiment and semi-autobiographical comic by French cartoonist Rémi Lucas. This first book was made by folding a stack of paper in half and drawing with pen as ideas came to mind; the resulting booklet was drawn in three days and released as a zine in February 2000. It was not intended as a piece of Tintin fan fiction, rather, it was a side story in Lucas's personal comics where Tintin was a man Lucas's age who existed in his universe. Beyond book #1's cover, it is not clear if Lucas intended to convey having a casual romantic friendship with Tintin.

The series ultimately spanned three zines. Lucas discontinued the series when it suddenly took off among Tintin collectors through unauthorized bootleg copies. Lucas is still creating art, but he has since asked pastiche pirates to stop reproducing his older works for profit. Below is a new English translation of book #1.

Depicted within this zine is the very method that Lucas followed to create it. The character Toto is a regular in Lucas's comics; he created Toto as a child, and then Toto became a reoccurring joke character in Lucas's work as an adult.

My interpretation of the ending: Tintin is not in danger, but Archie's worst case scenario has come true: Tintin is running off into some kind of adventure yet again. However, Archie has tagged along, and his moving-out six months prior implies he could moved closer to Tintin to keep an eye on him post-amnesia. As we'll see in the latter two books, Tintin is not just something Lucas's self-insert is imagining; I suppose we'll learn of Tintin's fate when he returns in book #2.
