Bee
Walking past I saw panicked movement
A small bee in a large pool
'Stay still, I can save you'
The winds blew,
pushing water against wing
'Nothing can save me,
I must free myself'
I tried to reason with the insect
Speaking a language it couldn't understand
'Let me save you,
If you stay here you will die'
But gripped by panic and fear,
he continued to move
'I will die if I stay here,
But who's to say that you won't kill me too'
I reached out again
Hand closed tighter around the small shape
'I am doing this to help you
You can not survive here'
Enclosed in darkness it continued to fight
Stinger to hand
'I can not survive here
But you are no different from the water'
