so I used to have like this Mateo x Rufus shrine in my therapists office (they were fine with it obviously) that I started in like freshman year where I’d find pieces of fanart and send them over to them which took like a couple years to do.

the only reason I bring this up is because from collecting images I’ve noticed some people draw Mateo either a really light tan or white and I was wondering…why?

i never had a problem with pazlano in general. i have a problem with how overly romanticized they are in the fandom.

you guys water down their characters horribly just so you can ship them and not feel shame with how unhealthy they are. before i read tswtdate, i thought they were a healthy ship with a few bumps, because that was the impression the fandom puts down before people read it.

absolutely not. they are extremely codependent and unhealthily attached to each other. the "if you kill yourself i'll kill myself too" shit IS NOT FUCKING NORMAL. i hate that paz said that, and that is why i fucking DESPISE gloria. you do NOT guilt trip someone who is suicidal, and if you do or have instinct to do that when someone comes to you with suicidal urges, maybe you need time away from them.

paz is not right in the head. that is why he felt the need to threaten suicide if alano went through with his plan. alano is not right in the head. that is why he's always on paz's tail for every little thing.

i'm 99% sure the people who water down their characters like this is because they're both dudes. you guys want a healthy relationship with paz and alano because they're gay, so you force it, and you squeeze them fucking DRY of their intended characters. you managed to turn tswtdate into the most meaningless book EVER. it's a YA novel meant to resonate with mentally ill teens, yet you suck it dry of that.

if you want to make content of an unhealthy, codependent ship, present it as such.
