Yesterday I tested positive for Covid-19. . . Before realizing how hungry I was, I encouraged my husband to go get tested very early this morning. The next thing I know, I’m locked up in this room, hungry, with access to no one. I texted my 14-year-old, who was still asleep, told her that I was hungry, and 30 minutes later...BAM! This plate was outside of my door!!! 🙌🏾 Yes, the bacon is a bit burned (and I don’t even EAT pork like that, lol), and the eggs are a little “drier” than I like them, but this is about to be 🗣🗣🗣THE BEST BREAKFAST I’VE EVER HAD, because MY 14-year-old baby made it from a place of love and sacrifice. 💜 . . This morning, I am reaping the harvest from a seed I planted long ago by teaching my children to cook at an early age. Moms, don’t allow your subconscious “need to be needed” hinder your child’s growth and development into responsible, self-sufficient human beings. As our children grow and mature, we must learn to - in that same rhythm - step back little by little and allow them to thrive on their own. . . Your children will ALWAYS love, honor, and value you, simply because you’re their MOTHER. Not because of how much, or how little, you’ve done for them. Waiting on your kids “hand-and-foot” does not add ANY length to your “Wonder Woman” cape, and it’s oftentimes an outward manifestation of your own insecurities and “un-dealt-with” trauma. . . So relax. Enjoy the ride. TEACH your kids to FLY. And if need be, purchase some glamorous, “blinged-out” binoculars so that you can comfortably watch them soar as YOU stand on the ground...always at the ready when they land. 💜 . . . . . #theamazingmomtv #Theamazingmom #raisingteens #raisingtweens #momspiration #momquotes #covid #covid19 #coronavirus https://www.instagram.com/p/CI_HC3hB_PX/?igshid=1bvnr154wv46p
