Fandoms stopped being a fun escape from reality when people started spreading the belief that you should prioritize purity over pleasure and the art you create must be a reflection of your moral standards at all times.
everything under the mountain belongs to the queen
A reminder that darker fiction has a right to exist and explore themes that people are uncomfortable with. Yes, even if it's romanticized. Yes, even if you personally don't like it.
Authors have always written about things that they don't agree with morally, and I hope to god they always will, despite how shitty people treat them for doing that now.
you are not an endearingly rude and unfriendly cartoon character you need to be nice to people
coming from a place of love btw i still have to remind myself this often. i’m very autistic i know what it’s like to think of yourself as like a lovable character with quirky flaws because your sense of identity comes from fiction but you are a Living Person and that’s not how it works to be a living person
not enough people are reblogging this version which is fine but i think they should. I Know Ball i still struggle with this i Get It
so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
okay so i just got my dream job??? a week after applying to it?? and now i’m thinking….maybe this is the good luck post
…..not even six hours later i got an offer of a well paying full time long-term job with free room and board in queens in nyc, allowing me independence and a way to escape an abusive situation and an unhealthy environment
likes charge reblogs cast, folks, this is the good luck post
i need all the help i can get for finals
Hey so
the last time I reblogged this post right before I got a great job, in a permanent work-from-home position, with benefits, retirement, and a salary literally 3x what I was making before, doing something I really like.
So you know.
This might be the real one, y’all.
Reblogging to spread the luck and the good fortune
reblogging cause i hope im getting a raise soon
Dear gods please help me
Lemme start off this New Year safe with a reblog
I hope the luck spreads to my homies too 🙏🏾
I want to trust these people
Plsplsplsplssss work i really need that luck this year </3
Fox Mulder won the autism lottery. He made the FBI give him an entire subdivision for his special interest AND someone to infodump to
can’t risk it
THIS PIECE OF PICTURE WORKS.
Gotta take all the chances…..
Never risk it
Too close to final’s week
I could use it.
why tf not. let’s do this
how to say "I love you" in x-files [280/?] ⤷ The X-Files: Fight the Future (1998)
Hey everyone,
It’s no secret I’m a big nature lover (seeing as I’m constantly reblogging mountains and stuff). If you’re American, I’m asking you for a big favour today:
The forest service is considering repealing the No Roads Rule which would allow logging and unchecked development to irreversibly damage millions of acres of beautiful, pristine wilderness—destroying critical habitat and beloved recreation areas in the process. Once these forests are gone they can't be brought back. We must protect them now so future generations can enjoy the same wild places, healthy ecosystems and outdoor traditions we have today.
We’re already hurtling towards irreversible climate change. Don’t let them take our national forests and public lands just to make a few billionaires even richer
Please consider commenting here TODAY (comment period ends tomorrow!) saying NO to repealing the No Roads Rule:
Regulations.gov
If you’re not American please consider reblogging to spread the word.
Thank you 💙🏔️
Read, read, read. Read everything -- trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it. Then write. If it's good, you'll find out. If it's not, throw it out of the window.
— William Faulkner.
Been writing a slowburn feysand fanfic and I can't make Feyre not gay for 5 minutes like can i just STAY ON TRACK PLEASE
but like what if she had a lil somethin somethin with Ressina. She needs an older woman to take care of her. Just for a lil bit. Maybe 🤭
Do y'all mind if I write 5k words of Feyre being a really fucking sad single mother in one night. Oh yeah and there's also a plot but I haven't got round to writing it yet because I am torturing this poor baby oh my god I'm a monster. *sobs* I'm doing this because I love you Feyre 💕
I havent done any writing since I was a teenager because my own pathetic sense of self back then decided it was *cringe* and then I stopped doing it 😶
I havent written anything in years and dont even know how to do that, I've always said I'm a reader not a writer and that is very true and always will be.
However, funnily enough, I got the idea for a fanfiction of all things so strongly slamming itself into my brain today that I literally had to do something about it. It's gonna be so bad but I'm having so much fun outlining stuff.
Maybe this will be something fun to entertain myself with from now on, I did need new creative endeavours lmao.
no inspo quotes today.
just Dumbledore dying at the top of hogwarts (astronomy tower)—the school he dedicated his life to, maybe to make up for the sibling he couldn't save. And Grindelwald dying alone in the tower of Nurmengard—the fortress he built as a monument to power, now a cage of his own making.
two men, two towers, both at the height of what they built, and what broke them.
