So much has happened since but all that matters is i can tell my 15 yo self who started this blog that i'm certified to make coffee and cocktails, have a degree, a spouse, a black cat that is in almost every way a biological child, successfully moved out of the family home and mcr is coming back to town

Like do you have any idea the kind of deals that any registered organization can have access to??

They can go directly to a supplier. a supplier with whom they have even made a prior agreement to get things for even cheaper.

The 99 cent can of whatever that's been sitting in your pantry? A food bank could get more than that of fresh food by several orders of magnitude for the same amount of money.

By all means, donate whatever preservable essentials you have! food, clothes, bedding, hygenic supplies, but don't buy new things with the money you are able to give: Give the money itself.
