FUCK this post and happy birthday sonic
Seeing an iconic post is like meeting a celebrity in here
Once upon a time there was Netflix, and it cost $8 per month to watch pretty much any movie ever made instantly. It made sense. Everybody had Netflix and life was good.
Then there was Hulu, and it seemed weird at first to have two streaming services. But basic Hulu was free and mostly streamed TV shows so it kind of made sense. Soon they charged a small fee for the convenience of streaming TV shows without ads, which also made sense.
Life was very good. People forgot that piracy even existed.
Then a few years later they added about 200 other streaming services, each one costing more than the last, and each stripping away "exclusive" content from the other services, and now there are UNSKIPPABLE COMMERCIALS and the fucking planet is on fire
and you expect me not to be insane about them?
twice wasn’t enough i need to read abt apollo killing commodus a third time
Fuck off🖕
"Oh no, they're too WEIRD to be part of the queer commu-" BITCH WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK "QUEER" MEANS?!?!

The amount of time you have to spend on this website to still remember the Deep Lore like None Pizza with Left Beef, only to apply it to this post. Truly, boggling.

Certified Library Post
also if you cannot access your local public library in person, check if they have any online services. I know some libraries have apps and/or websites where you can log in and access their digital collection of books and audiobooks. you might need to call/email them to find out about these services. you won't always find them on their home page.
If you have access to no such service, do not despair, the Internet Archive's Open Library is here! (and completely legal! it functions as a legitimate online library.)

"In the instance an employer makes an illegal request for a photograph as part of a job application, you may submit a complaint to the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission." Successful violation fee collections are paid partially to the one who suffered the violation, which in many cases exceeds a year of work at these shit jobs. There's only two weak points to a corporation, and those are in the budget and in the supply chain. Hit them where it hurts.
Fucking word.

it’s so bizarre when animated American films are set in a certain location and then only certain characters have the accents of that place. It makes no damn sense!! like
WHY IS SHE MORE FRENCH THAN THE REST OF THEM???
WHY ARE THESE GUYS MORE SCOTTISH THAN THE KIDS??
(also, aren’t they Vikings or something?)
To be fair, almost everyone in Ratatouille does have a French accent. The real question is why Linguini and also all the rats sound intensely American
If it was just the rats I’d say it’s because the movie can be interpreted to mean that the rats understand but don’t necessarily speak human languages so the rat dialog isn’t literally taking place the way we see it but that doesn’t explain why Linguini has a rat accent
LINGUINI HAS A RAT ACCENT
Do we ever hear like
For sure that Linguini grew up in France tho?
It could be possible he’s just an American immigrant
I mean his name is Alfredo Linguini so I always assumed he was Italian
I’m sorry his first name is Alfredo?
ALFREDO???
he’s American you guys his mother was American it was mentioned in the beginning
I’m sorry, I’ve moved on to the fact his mother was going through her cupboard for baby names
Alfredo was a name before it was a sauce let’s go over the movie from the top again
This is Alfredo di Lelio (right) the inventor of fettuccine Alfredo, he’d come out to the table and make it in front of you by hand
The chap on the left is an airport
I think you might have your left and right mixed up, my friend
Great post everyone. Hit the showers.

I'd like to point out that the rainbow has more positive than negative meanings.

im sorry but this reply absolutely killed me the rainbow can mean whatever the heck you want it to mean, that is never going to change that this straight up looks like they DRAGGED BLOODY BODIES ACROSS THE FUCKING FLOOR 😂

Hi fun fact, colors do have meaning and there is a legit thing called color theory. The rainbow does have more positive connotations than negative like the @ mintymaiden said. For example, violet is associated with more money, wisdom, and elegance than with blood and death just like the chart shows you. Also, check out "The Designer's Dictionary of Color" by Shaune Addams. Have fun learning something

I like that the presumption here is that "No One On Grumblr Has Heard of Color Theory. Let Me Explain in Depth" rather than simply acknowledging that the VISUAL EFFECTS of this particular color choice, applied in the manner it was, can still amount to "this is a hospital and that looks like blood"
like, color theory doesn't exist in a vacuum. If your design of choice for Hemospectrum Paint is asymmetric splatters and splotches against the wall, or in this case, a shellbeast trail on the hallway's floor, and infographic won't override the viewers' instinct
