I hope this message finds you and your family in good health. My name is Eman Zaqout from Gaza. I am reaching you out to seek your urgent help in spreading the word about our fundraiser. I lost both my home and my job due to the ongoing genocide in Gaza and we are facing catastrophic living conditions. 💔
I kindly ask you to visit my campaign. Your support, whether through donating or sharing, will help us reach more people who can make a difference. Thank you for your continued support for the Palestinian cause. Your dedication brings us closer to freedom. 🙏🕊

For Farah (@farahmoo2), there won't be that option should she decide to complete her studies now, rather than wait for the border to open. Recently, the Ministry of Palestine issued a decision to allow students access to complete twelfth grade online. A couple of days ago, Farah informed her mother that she will move forward with her education, and take her final exams in February. Unfortunately, this will involve studying in her family tent or at the internet point, where it is crowded, very hot, or very damp. The internet is slow, and she will be exposed to the constant sound of artillery overhead. As the days are getting shorter, there will be no lightbulbs Farah can turn on to be able to study, and will have to resort to candles or battery power. If her electronic device dies during her coursework, she will have to wait till the next day to take it to the charging point, paying 2-3 shekels to power it back up again. Despite all of this, and stress it might bring, Farah is willing to do this.
On Sep 10, I made a countdown post to get Farah from €5,333 to €10,000. Now it is Oct 11, and we are only at €6,380, and donations have been slowing down recently. Farah and her sister Shahad (@shah599) deserve to have their continuing education funded after all the hard work they've done to get to this point. Please support them however you can.
This fundraiser has been vetted by association to her sister Nesma (@nesmamomen), and has also been shared by 90-ghost.

We need to pay for international student fees and e-books.
Current goal :
USD $ 5,310 5,460/ 9,223
Textbooks: base $600
Gfm fees for 40 donations: 570.6
~$50 transfer fee: 520.13
12% Bank fee: 458.13
To cover the funds lost to fees, we need an extra $200 (assumed 15 donations). After fees on that, it's only $166 (enough to cover the short-term goal)
So we need 600 + 200 = $800 for the textbooks.
This is $6,000 in the campaign.
International student fees: base $2,423
900£ = USD $1,180.93
60k EGP = USD $1,241.29
Gfm fees for 160 donations: 2304.74
Transfer fee, ~$200: 2,104.74
12% Bank fee: 1852.17
To cover the funds lost to fees, we need an extra $800 (assumed 55 donations). After fees on that, it's only $625 (enough to cover the short-term goal) So we need 2423 + 800 = $3,223 for the international student fee.
This is $9,223 in the campaign (this is currently an estimate and a more certain number will be released after paying off the textbooks.

Or like, to put it in terms that the "read what you like, who cares if you exclusively read kids' stuff" crowd are at a reading level to understand:
In the book "Green Eggs and Ham," the main character insists that he will only eat things he likes, and refuses under all circumstances when presented with an opportunity to try something new. At the end of the novel [spoiler alert] he agrees to Sam-I-Am's request and tries them, and he realizes that he was depriving himself of a favorite food for years, just out of fear of disliking something he ate. He learns a lesson, moving forward, that if he tries new things outside his comfort zone, that he may dislike some of them, but will enjoy many of them, and if he doesn't try new things outside his comfort zone, he will not like anything but the one thing he already eats.
Can you think of any situations in your own life where Sam-I-Am's teachings might be applicable?
don’t know if tumblr knows about safaa, but she manages to graduate with honours :)
if you’ve got spare money, consider donating to her here

the second image is a second tweet posted by safaa that reads “make way for the girl who will graduate with honours.”, with two attached images (described below.)
the third image is one of two attached to the tweet, and is a text message from Al-Azhar University reading “عزيزي الطالب، درجتك في مادة الإنشاء والمقال (3):96”

The state's parole board recommended Littlejohn for clemency after hearing arguments that his guilt is unclear. Ultimately, it's the governo
Emmanuel Littlejohn has been waiting for months to find out whether he will die on Thursday or get to live. It's been "the hardest thing I ever did."
Littlejohn, 52, is set to be executed for the shooting death of a convenience store owner during a robbery in Oklahoma City in 1992. If Republican Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt declines to grant him clemency, Littlejohn will be the third inmate executed by the state this year and the 17th in the nation. He's also one of five men the U.S. is executing in a six-day period, and he's set to die just about eight hours before Alabama is expected to execute Alan Eugene Miller using nitrogen gas.
"I would say to the governor: Do what you think is the right thing," Littlejohn told USA TODAY in a recent interview.
Littlejohn has admitted to his role in the robbery but has maintained that his accomplice was the one to pull the trigger, not him.
"I accept responsibility for what I did but not what they want me to accept responsibility for," Littlejohn previously told USA TODAY. "They want me to accept that I killed somebody, but I haven't killed somebody."
In a rare move, the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board voted 3-2 to recommend clemency for Littlejohn, whose legal team argued that the evidence in the case was unclear, especially who the triggerman was.
Still, Republican Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond said afterward that his office would still be arguing against clemency to the governor, calling Littlejohn a "violent and manipulative killer."
If you’re outraged over Missouri murdering Marcellus Williams, then you should know Oklahoma is planning on carrying out an execution of Emmanuel Littlejohn this Thurs. at 10am.
Littlejohn was pardoned by the PPB. There’s still time to call the Governor: 405-521-2342.
I was able to leave a voicemail by pressing 1 then 4 then 0. After what happened in Missouri, there's an overwhelming sense of hopelessness that the care about public comments but I hope Emmanuel is able to avoid Khaliifah's fate.
Hi, the best thing to do is to call the Governor’s office directly and press 0 to be connected to a staff person. Ask that the governor respect the wishes of the pardon and parole board and grant clemency to Emmanuel Littlejohn. 405-521-2342
This is the fundamental misunderstanding people have of TMA and TME
These terms DO NOT try to draw a line and separate trans women from the rest of the queer community. That separation already exists, TME people created it long before we started talking about it.
TME people, both cis-het and queer, actively and passively perpetuate transmisogyny. And have created a situation where even in places that describe themselves as safe places for queer and trans people, that is nowhere near true for trans fems. So often queer groups have only one trans fem or none at all. Places actively ignore issues of trans fems. And in many cases despite assertions to the contrary, trans fems still get treated as aggressive, predatory, and suspect.
So no, TMA & TME doesn't create a divide, it only gives name to one that was already there.
I've been contacted by another Palestinian trapped in Ghazza.
Maram is a young, married mother of 3. She and her family were displaced by the occupation, and she was forced to give birth to her youngest child, Noor, in unsuitable conditions.
They are currently living in a tent without shelter from the elements. Disease, pests, and food shortages are rampant.
The children are traumatized by the bombings. They have been robbed of their childhood and it's imperative that you help them.

Maram's family has a goal of 25,000 pounds in order to evacuate Ghazza. As of now, they have only raised 50.
This family is so young. These children should have a whole life ahead of them, and this mother and father should too.
Please, donate if you're able and share this campaign. As with all families trapped in Ghazza by the occupation, they deserve to live. Help them reach their goal however you can.
oh i'm happy that people enjoyed looking at this animal with me.. it's fun to be nice to an animal and with bugs it's often more okay to do than with other animals since it's unlikely you will socialize them to humans to their detriment.
Watermelon piece is a good offering towards any adult wasp, but being a mud dauber she is a great wasp to observe, since they are not very aggressive and their sting is not too bad. I waited until she was a little more hydrated and started grooming herself to remove her from the house, since she was visibly quite dusty i knew it would be the next thing she would want to do.
a really funny behavior was that although she was completely content to be observed by humans, she saw an ant on the counter and got visibly upset, which is understandable since an ant wants to eat a weak bug a lot more than humans do. I removed the ant to keep her from getting too stressed out. she was so mad about the ant and even though it makes sense i thought it was pretty funny since wasps can tell who humans are. she knew we were hanging out and that part was fine, but an ant is just too much!! eventually i put her and her fruit outside.
for every 9/11 joke you make today put your money where ur mouth is and donate to a Palestinian family. u dont get to make light of one of the biggest catalysts of islamaphobia and then turn a blind eye at the genocide . click for a random vetted gaza gfm
