Very Cool Picture
Wild Ginger tonight in Williamsburg. A Pan Asian Vegan joint. I've never had soy protein before, but that stuff is not that bad! I got citrus soy over a bed of kale with chopped almonds. Not super hungry after today's training, but I needed to eat. Also ordered a glass of wine. That was necessary. Happy Friday!
Keeping it clean this 4th of July. Breakfast consisted of 3 ingredients: bananas, an egg, and almond butter. Voila! I'm full.
You are what you eat! I wanted to eat bread today and have some Starbucks, like a frapp or something, but I knew I shouldn't and that I would later regret it. I'm not saying you can't indulge, but I knew my body didn't really want that stuff. Desserts and sweets can try and play their Jedi mind tricks on me, but it didn't work. Not today at least. My energy is up and I love it. I'm on my 3rd week of eating clean. No dairy, no alcohol, no carbs, no sugary foods and drinks. I make most of my meals at home and do my best when I eat out. The most sugary thing I eat is from acai. Natural sugars is okay for me because that includes the fruit I eat as well. Competition is less than 2 weeks away. New York Summer Open 2013. I'm competing in the light division. 9 other girls in the division and I'm hoping most of them Are cutting weight and won't have so mucho energy! I'm actually weighing in at around 126 with my gi on. Ill be able to eat breakfast and drink water prior to weigh ins. I'm super nervous, but I can just try my hardest and hope for the best. Wish me luck!!

Cooking at home! Spaghetti Squash for dinner with ground chicken. I also made homemade guacamole for my breakfast tomorrow. Nothing beats eggs and guac.
Oh man.. This is the most vegetables I have ever eaten in my life. I think I am on my 3rd week of eating clean. I feel great! I haven't had any cravings for sweets or anything either. I am starting to notice a change in energy and my body. I want to maintain strength and get faster so maybe these next few weeks on too of rolling ill focus on that. 2 weeks until IBJJF New York Summer Open.

What are you eating? 3 weeks away from competition and I feel stronger and really good from just how I have been eating. I haven't craved sweets and today I had a conversation with a colleague of mine about linking sweets with carbs. She read somewhere thAt carbs do trigger you wanting something sweet and sugary. Interestingly enough, I find that true as I have cut carbs such as grains out of my diet for the last 2 weeks or so and I haven't craved the chocolate chip cookie I have to have. Anyway, I don't have any scientific evidence to back that up, but I will say I do believe it to be true! I've been adding a lot of color to my plates and eating fresh. Just have to maintain my training and workouts. Have a good night!

My last piece of indulgence today. I'm eating more clean going forward! More greens, more lean meat, more fish, handful of fruit. Cutting out bad carbs, sugars from all those sweets Iove, no sweetened drinks.. All that junk. All this stuff I know, I just need to do it. I do the training already. I just need to do the most important part and that's take care of what I put into my body. I want abs.
