In effort to actually make progress for Season 2 (and to get these cool scenes out of my head and onto paper), I'm making rough storyboards so I know what I'm drawing and writing for upcoming episodes and talking through my thought process for what I want out of each character in the episode.

Genuine question (because I'm currently hyperfixated and considering making a video about my thoughts): Why do you think Dark Deception is the odd duck out in terms of horror games?

It's not a mascot horror, therefore not popular with kids.

So I was wondering... can we, like, macabre mart-ify/graveyard shift-ify other horror protags? Because I've been getting back into older and newer horror games, and I now have the temptation to slap a nametag on their protags and send them to retail hell.

Happy 10th Anniversary Five Nights At Freddy's~!!

Where has the time gone?

I had a lot of ideas that I wanted to do for an anniversary pic, but lately it's been getting harder to find motivation to draw with my struggles in finding a job and being an adult. And it's been very discouraging when it seems like other people in my life have their stuff handled better than I do...

But when I went to my DeviantArt page to find my original FNAF art, I realized that ten years ago I'm in a better mental state than back then:

I was 19. I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do after high school; I struggled to maintain friendships both close to home and long distance; I struggled to process the grief of a relative who had recently died; and I had gender dysphoria before realizing it was gender dysphoria.

And in the darkest moment, FNAF was there.

I didn't expect to be suddenly a part of a community, but people were engaging with me for my fanart; and the next thing I knew we were theorizing what was going to happen in the games; other people were making beautiful music; some of us went to make their own fangames and a few others went off and reshaped horror games and indie animation as a whole.

And when I felt isolated from the world during a pandemic, the FNAF community found me again on Tumblr when I made a Michael Afton who was (and has always been) a projection of the kind of guy I wanted to be

And then FNAF showed me I was trans (sorry, Steven Universe showed me I was gay)

I may be struggling financially, but I'm so much happier with myself physically and mentally thanks to a man who made a game out of pure fucking sprite. And if he could make a literal multi million dollar franchise from his struggles, then I can too; I just need to keep pushing forward.

I am eternally grateful, Scott Cawthon. Just as I am eternally grateful to everyone in this community :)

SO APPARENTLY the Dark Deception Wiki hasn't datamined Super Dark Deception for the character animations yet and the only evidence of this dance existing at all was on one of Glowstick Entertainment's music uploads for SDD

SUPER DARK DECEPTION JUST DROPPED

TBH I did have the opportunity to play the ios edition and I both love and hate it:

Love the fact that now I can play Dark Deception in a format where I won’t crumble to the floor in a crying mess from 1st person perspective horror and the pixel art is beautiful

Hate in the fact that so far the ios edition only has Monkey Madness (idk if this is only an ios thing) and these monkeys are set on just absolutely wrecking Doug. They know where he is at all times and there’s no way to get an S rank, I died like 20 times
