GET TO KNOW ME TAG | Mind Over Mella
Vlog One | SORRY NOT SORRY
Take a stroll in the life of Mella as she takes a journey into the vlog world. Vulnerability will be her friend and adventure will be her guide.
Follow me as I go to singing rehearsal and hang out with some friends to attempt to go see some Christmas lights but it was a fail.

Timeless Days
This world has come to be, more than the natural eye can see. It has become the subliminal criminal kills your sight with deceit. SUBJECT. NO VERB. It’s like our thoughts are becoming incomplete, completely lost like a never ending tumbleweed.
You’re soul chasing, your heart is racing, you’re pacing and facing the temptation that’s attacking you from every side. RACE - WAR! PEACE, WE NEED MORE. GRACE- LORD! PEACE IN THIS STORM!
I fell to my KNEES, screamed Lord help them PLEASE. For they know not what they do. I’m crying out to you, HELP them to love YOU for you are LOVE. GOD IS LOVE.
We’re living in the timeless days, people are going crazy. I serve the Father of time, He has the power to play, pause, forward, rewind the time and place for everything. There’s nothing new under the sun, now that victory, in God, is already won.

I think we’re ready for a night out in New Orleans
This day was filled will wonderful memories that I will never forget. We started the day with Bourbon Street and ate at a place called Cornet. I had the Seafood Platter but I also got to taste some alligator sausage and fried green tomatoes. YUM!
Then, we took the bicycle taxis to the infamous Cafe Du Monde to try the Beignets. THEY WERE AMAZING!
Afterwards, we travel back the Floating Villas (I will post about them in the next blog) to rest and freshen up for a night out on the town! CHOPHOUSE NEW ORLEANS, I definitely recommend you go there! It was exquisite from the food to the service. I had a caesar salad for my appetizer and crab bisque for my entree. I was not disappointed.
FRIDAY NIGHT IN NOLA: SUCCESS!
Are you Aware?
Many of us live unaware in fear because it has become a part of our daily routine. Until we become aware of the fear that stifles us, we are then able to conquer it. How would you know what needs to be conquered, if you are unaware?
Being honest with yourself.
The truth shall set you free. I know many of you have heard this phrase before. But how does it set you free? I believe it starts with being honest with yourself at the core. It keeps you from creating false truths about yourself that can shape your life. When you lie, you have to keep covering it up with another lie and another lie and before long you begin to lose a sense of self and you cover up the true nature of who you are.
What are some of the flaws that are becoming or has become hard for you to accept? Write them down, as many as you can think of.
Embrace your flaws.
Many of you may begin to question, how does someone embrace something they don’t like? It’s like your mother telling you as a kid to eat your vegetables because they’re good for you, but how can something so nasty be good for me. Just like our flaws. They disgust us, we’re so quick to get rid of them, but they are apart of us and embracing them is healthy for us. Do this exercise:
What are your flaws? List them!
Think about how your past may affect your flaws. Think about why are you the way you are. Family traits? Cultural? Environmental?
Redefine your flaws. Re-word and Re-think how you view your flaws.
Make a list of your strength and abilities. Things like resilience, loyal, or patience. List them all, every one that you can think of.
Accept yourself! Accept your whole self, flaws and all. Besides we are all imperfectly perfect. Take the pressure off yourself, become aware of your flaws, and embrace YOU.
Sometimes we can walk around aimlessly, missing our mark, pursuing things that we know we don’t like. We need to let go, free our minds and make ourselves aware of the flaws that we allow to view negatively and view them in a positive light. At that moment, we can begin to embrace our whole selves, conquer fear and live out our lives without a care in the world.
Our Family Green Legacy Tree.
We all have different representations of trees but our family wanted to get a tree that represents family. The lives being born, the wise ones who have passed away, the accomplishments we’ve aspired to one day achieve, and so on and so forth. It will only get bigger and bigger as the family grows. Excited about this tradition and the years to come.
Breakfast was on point! This little cafe in the town of Collingswood, NJ was terrific. The menus were newspaper style, which was freakin’ cool, and the whole overall environment was very impressive. I had the 2+2+2 which included: 2 Gigantic Pancakes, Two Eggs (I got mine over-medium) and two pieces of Turkey Bacon w/ a side of avocado! It was so delicious! If you’re ever in the neighborhood, I suggest that you stop by!

Adventure with the one you love!
It seems like just yesterday I had arrived in the beautiful city of Atlanta to pursue my career in film. Country girl to city girl in the blink of an eye! I’ve enjoyed these past 2 and a half years here. I’ve met so many wonderful people throughout my being there and can’t even begin to explain my gratitude for each person. I will miss this beautiful city, but now it’s on to greater things and the plans that God has fore-planned for my life! Excited to see what’s to come.
OFFICIAL GRADUATE OF GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY: CLASS OF 2015
Concerns and problems flood our minds. There is always so much to do! But, God wants the very best for you but you just have to know how to recognize it and lay hold of it.
If you’ve ever said to yourself, “I don’t even have time to think,” then you know how hard it is to concentrate when you’re being bombarded from all sides. It’s even harder to focus on God when we can’t take time to renew our minds and refresh our spirits by quiet reflection. God doesn’t often shout to get our attention. Instead, He usually speaks to us in “a still small voice” (1 Kings 19:12, NKJV).
So, what can we do to put ourselves in a position to hear God’s voice? We have to make time in our daily lives to get quiet. David said of the Lord in Psalm 23:2, “He leads me beside quiet waters.” Today I want to encourage you to find those quiet waters where you can get alone with the Lord. It may be a room in your house, outside under the trees, or some other place where you can shut out the noise and distractions of the world for just a few precious minutes. The key to renewing your mind, body and spirit is to develop the habit and discipline of meditating on the Word of God every day — even if it is for just a moment.
