Holy hell this was hard, even more ME the serial rambler! I guess maybe it's the fact that each character has their own personal director, writer and actor with full creative control over them (save for any knife theory stuff the DM stabs them with) so the pressures on, haha!

Anyway let's give this a crack!

Starting off, have one for Sefice; inspired by this post I don't think Sefice likes alcohol, both because of it's taste (no matter if it's super dry or super sweet) and also because it has the potential to disinfect things (for one thing, bad for a Champion of Nurgle, another would be regardless of his resistance to alcohol as an astartes, he doesn't want to risk poisoning the parasites that rely on him). It might even be because he only had alcohol as an astartes, resistant to the effects of drinking so not derive anything out of it, that the taste was the only thing that existed and he hated it so much he poured it immediately straight onto the floor; he didn't even give it the dignity of being poured down a drain or something. Now whenever he's given alcohol, he slowly pours it out all over the ground so whoever gave it to him watches in horror, and Byzanti learnt to never waste the good shit on Sefice.

Speaking of, Byzanti has somehow managed to get fruit onto the Carcass. How? Well, he has many secrets. In actuality, even before Chaos since Emperor's Children were already indulging in more luxury foods than just high quality nutrient slurries and triglyceride gel (even sampling aeldari foods), he was appalled by the abundance of corpse starch. On one his many (many, many, MANY) attempts to find some sort of troop transport, he managed to stumble across someone selling actual genuine fruit! And OBVIOUSLY he got some, of course, duh, and initially just to eat them; until he stumbled across some warp distorted section of the Carcass that could have easily been converted into a hydroponics plant. If it works then wonderful, free fruit! If it doesn't, that would suck a little but it's not like anyone else would know about it! Turns out the Carcass doesn't let anything die, so somewhere on the ship there's basically a forest of fruit trees.

I don't have a cool transition anyway Bethael! I think before the nails, even before being an astartes in the first place, that he and his brother would play a very improvised 'barely even learnt the rules' Regicide using stones and firewood. Bethael obviously doesn't remember much about it, and post-nails wouldn't particularly have too much a mind for complex tactics especially while in a frenzy, but the ideas of planning moves by drawing lines in the snow and the clacking of stones against each other in the palm of a hand; not everything is gone it's just been dispersed somewhere out of reach. Obviously Bethael barely won, a combination of their made-up incorrect rules kids not helping to actually game the system, but also because his brother didn't go easy just because Bethael was younger. Plus, who's he gonna play Regicide with now even if he remembered, Helbros? Hell no!

Lyphos... I am having difficulty wording this- I think he used to be very good at learning and remembering the small details of someone, their desires and their motivations for completely definitely just manipulation reasons; he consolidates everything he learns during meditation where he reconstructs his library/study/etc from his Prospero days and sorts people and their little fun facts into almost real books across his shelves. Something made pseudo-literal with the power of psychic shit, only mildly slightly disconnected between his internal self and his external presence thanks to the power of Horus dying that one time, no biggie. Sometimes the disconnection causes interference (Lyphos calling Byzanti a 'good boy' and hearing something entirely opposite) or a connection cannot be made (mentally talking to Yvgeny but because of how the spell actually canonically works in game him being unable to mentally respond back), but right now Lyphos is cataloguing quite a bit from Bethael's memories.

And last but not least is the one human among them, Yvgeny. I like to imagine that his hair in a sense means a lot to him, but not quite in a vain sense one might imagine; he takes very good care of it, and is shockingly quite soft for a 56 year old renegade. Rather, it is a vessel to remind himself of his past actions (not fully self-flagellating, not fully not), braiding it through rat skulls and tying it off with the doll string in an act of ritual, commemoration and a promise to never forget. It's also a point of pride in his humanity, to dedicate time to something considered so much more minor to everything else in the 41st millennium, to practice the motions of something as quiet as one's appearance. Not just a soldier for the mill, sent to death by the thousands - the millions - shaved down to the skin performing uniformity, but Yvgeny M. Prendergast. Though, he is redefining who that is out from under the thumb of the corpse emperor,

Welp...Let's Try

So I have decided to put up my ideas on paper, or in this case on the web, and try to write fanfiction. I'm going to try and write the Hanahaki idea I thought up a while back; see here: Post. I plan to change a few things from what I wrote down, but I hope you will enjoy it. I do have plans to make it multi-chaptered. I'm giving a preview of the first two paragraphs here for you guys while I write more out.

Edit: Just in case people want to write out or add on to any ideas I tend to post, I 100% encourage you to do so. All I ask is to tag me if my work inspired you so I can read/see the art you created. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yvgeny felt panic rising in his chest as he looked down at his hand, seeing small crimson droplets along four different damp petals. He knew it had been a stressful few weeks, what with his old squad's deaths, being collected by the same four heretic Astartes who killed them off, and leaving the Imperium, joining willingly on the side of Chaos and now being a part of this accursed ship. He was sure he might have had a few injuries from before, from in-fighting with his old warband over who was going out and fighting that demonic spawn that managed to enter the ship a few days ago. The Li-fo sticks he was prescribed also didn't help much, as trying one for the first time left his throat with a horrible burning sensation that never really seemed to leave his body. The coughing and pain were constant for many days, but the petals were the most bewildering.

Look closely at each one; they were very different from each other, except for the blood that covered them slightly. The first was slender and pointed, going from light blue to soft white, though Yvgeny could have sworn he saw a glint of gold in the right light. The second looked almost like a sword, though it took on a more floral look as he rubbed his thumb across the petals, with deep red covering the outer petals as it sharply turned white toward the middle of the petals. The third was red with white spots covering the whole petal, though it looked more like a small piece than the whole petal; it also gave off a horrible smell. The fourth and final one was a small cluster of flowers; a soft purple covered the petals, making it look almost like a pom-pom he would see on some people's hats during a cold night out in the desert.

Pov you are a night lord you and your warband roll up on a imperial world and start taking out the guard regiment there and you run into the commissar and decide to have some fun but she opens a flare in your face and chases you while cackling maniacally and you can smell fear on her but it is absolutely overridden by some kind of madness that makes you absolutely sure this woman will not stop until you are dead and there is a certain unhinged spark in her eyes and you think you might actually be in love. Your name is Ravkos the Forsaken and you will now haunt this woman for the rest of her military career.

So usually I play Minecraft or similar while listening to podcasts but in this case I really needed to draw a spooky scary skeleton with spectacles once he came up.

Obviously you just use tape first, or whatever utterly ludicrous equivalent Warhammer has that's probably made from dead bodies and souls somehow. Then I'm like, ok, what if we modify your typical pince-nez to actually grip inside the eye socket rather than what remains of the nasal bone. No idea how that feels. For a very Lyphos take, he gets a cool crown that suspends the spectacles from above, and lastly, just use magic, idiot. Who cares if you blow everyone else up it looks cool and it works.

also because space marines are hard to draw (especially when laughing) here is the only other coherent doodle to come out of this

Honorary halfway through Ep Four of A Chaos Odyssey doodles from today. Byzanti gave Yvgeny his DNR order and I don't know how I'm supposed to be normal about that. Though, I guess Byzanti didn't know how to be normal about it either.
