Ok...I was actually obsessed with Stephanie's #borrowed dress! I was in love with her new dress too so I understand her decision! As a designer I do love when I get a fashionista bride! It means I get to take risks and lean more towards what I would put on the runway instead if on the rack at a boutique. It was difficult to unyellow this dress! Ok MOMS! I just discovered this amazing company @iplaybaby on one of my shopping trips to #WholeFoods. It was started in 1982 by a fellow MOM who wanted more natural products for her little ones... I'm especially OBSESSED with the organic car blanket and glass sippy cup surrounded by plastic so it doesn't break. But liquids only touch the silicone and glass! Yay! I did this gown for a bride back in 2009. She wanted something simple and drapy. I used a heavy weight silk jersey. She was so beautiful and had such an amazing body...I'm glad she chose something simple that didn't over power her. She LOVED the dress. Sadly she wrote to me that her house burned down and all of her things were gone. Nikki - Season 2 - Episode 1 

Nikki was a fun bride! Her mother "Big Lor" was dead set on Nikki wearing her dress... The original dress was so big and ummmmm....not so cute, that the work was almost overwhelming. The first thing I did was simplified the bodice. I got rid of all those dangling beads and of course the puffy sleeves! I used every applique and piece of lace on the bodice to give it a clean fresh look. I kept the bottom front simple but added a dramatic train in the back. The design and the way the fabric laid maid it look like a giant flower! It really was gorgeous! In the end, Nikki wanted WAY more bling than I gave her and she ended up picking the "Something New" that Sam found for her. Either way, she was a beautiful bride...
