Why else is Flowery a Rudy parallel, if not for Rudy being a Asriel parallel huh?
But like seriously, why is Flowery connected to both of these characters? It’s not shown in the Asriel sprite I picked, but Flowery shares the green of Asriel and Rudy’s “red”(it’s orange but bear with me) in his suit. Why? Why is he bridging a gap between two characters that so far, don’t have much to do with each other personality wise.
Not to mention Flowery breaks all the norms the main bosses set. He has eyes, he has a soul mode which only secret bosses have, he doesn’t actively put the main party in danger, he doesn’t have parental issues and most of all, he can mess with his own stats. A feat only Omega Photoshop Flowey has been capable of…….and maybe the Knight as well.
I think we can all remember how the Knight sliced Flowery’s 999 attacks into 0s. No other character other than Rouxls fucking Kaard has ever messed with the UI it’s self in a way like that. Someone who could do that must be a powerful lightner themselves. Maybe even, the lightner Flowery himself pays homage to, that’s right, Rudy can break the fourth wall and is the knight. Why else is he looking straight at us in his hospital bed. What’s my proof? Vibes, hype and cope.
I’m betting on Rudy Knight, all I got is that old man’s aura.
Ok so, someone found Chapter 5’s code dialogue and I’ll just put it here for Tumblr:
“I do have one thing, though.
And that's memories.
Memories of my life...
Maybe that's all I am at this point.
A collection of memory...
...
Then all I can do is...
Don't forget.
I have to keep telling myself that...”
I’ll add that someone noted that 2_0 through 7_0 have a b at the end(side B???) but 8_0 to 10_0 don’t.
Curious, very curious.
Also here’s a link to the Reddit thread I found it from:

Personally, I feel this calls into question if it’s Dess actually in the code and maybe Noelle instead.
I’ve been leaning towards Deltarune Gaster in the code for awhile, but it’s basically dead in the water now so it’s come down to these two in my eyes.
I lean now towards Noelle since we have more proof that she could’ve fallen into the code than Dess, but she doesn’t sound close to the state she was in in Chapter 5 as she does in the code so idk.
If Susie were to save Noelle and Kris from the lake, I don't think she would go to police or hospital or really anyone other than Kris's or Noelle's family, as they would most likely listen to her. Also with how close asgores shop is to the lake, she would probably run there.
This reminds me, with the fact that the lake has some barrier-like qualities to it in the weird route, it’s real convenient that Asgore‘s shop happens to be the closest to it.
the absolving of player responsibility in a very clearly ludonarrative game like undertale and deltarune needs to be studied
because every time someone says weird route was kris' repressed desires made manifest or that kris wanted this all along i want to SCREAMMMM
YOU the player made the choices that tortured them into this husk of a self
YOU the player rattle kris out of bed despite all their efforts to prevent us, complete with their unsettling disassociation
YOU the player had basically 20 minutes of sweet time with kris and susie to dissuade you from continuing, to tell you that this road you are walking will not only hurt kris and noelle, but also susie who very much cares about them both
and then YOU THE PLAYER decide to march kris to their death, forcibly drowning them for your sick sick curiosity, your desire to 'see too far' leading to you committing evils
and ONLY after basically choosing to murder kris and noelle do your saves get appended with the side_b.
you actively chose at every turn to end up here
you ACTIVELY chose this path and now you're going to pay the consequences of it
kris' desire for freedom was clearly usurped by whatever entity is behind eram, luring the player into seeking this alternate route via the sword route that's pushed by a LITERAL plugboy that does not belong in the dreemurr household
and instead of backing out upon realizing the consequences of it, YOU the player decide that killing berdly, traumatizing kris and noelle, and then basically forcibly drowning them was a sacrifice you were willing to make to 'see the end'
noelle and kris at the end of chapter 5's weird route are not their 'actual selves'. it is them twisted by the player's abuse, on the cusp of desperately seeking death to free themselves from their prescribed roles and lives. both of them sought out bugs and glitches in video games a sort of allegory for freeing themselves but instead of letting it take a healthy course, you force the issue and use them up!
i need people to goddamn accept their responsibility in this route!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could be funny about this, but I just genuinely want to know why of all the lightners the flowers possibly know, why Berdly specifically keeps getting referenced.
I spent 2 hours/ 42 attempts on flowery and almost keeled over thanks to the fact I was only running on caffeine, my own body fat, a peach and a headache because the boss theme wouldn’t stop.(I’m fine now)
If you don’t want that to happen to you then you’re at the right place because I’ll be giving you a couple of tips for how to survive this little asshole who I only don’t hate because of the scenes after the fight.
(Note: I am not good at this kinda thing)
Ok anyways:
Orange soul and charging. So there is a time and place to charge your shots and a time where you just press Z for 2 milliseconds.
You can’t go wrong charging yourself up when up against Flowery in that one charging himself at you section. But during Aqua, Blue and Yellow’s sections, it’s best to keep them short. For Seth, in their first bullet pattern with the one line, you can do either or but in their second pattern with the two lines you can do the same. Just remember that if you can’t get the green without running into bullets, know the green heals like shit.
When up against orange they come at you quicker than Flowery does and it can fool you. Just always remember, no matter if there’s fire raining from the ceiling or not(green I trusted you), always be charged and ready. When the fire thing happens, either stick to just below the top or at the very bottom. Also Orange and eventually Flowery have extra bullet patterns that come out their ass after blocking them. Orange’s go up and down where you were at(just go a little up and you’ll be fine) and Flowery’s go in a straight line at you so just move away from them.
Btw, you want to release your charge right as Flowery or Orange are about to turn blue. That worked the best for me(also apparently there’s an audio cue but I didn’t have it. It’s jeranimo or something).
Aqua’s little lilypad jumps seem intimidating(because they are), but all you gotta do is be close enough to the lilypads during your jumps. You can get away with a bit during those sections. If you miss one, dodging through the blade walls isn’t that hard, but still I suggest getting back to the lilypads.
Busting through the blue bamboo is fun, but there is ALWAYS a cactus right behind it. The cactus will do 60 damage and it will end this run.
Flowerysoda, it heals 50 usually but for Ralsei it heals 200. I suggest stocking up on a lot of items including this one. The more hp from your items it the better cause there are 9 mandatory turns in this fight and you will feel the pain ‘cause each attack deals 50-60 damage minimum and in my case, 80 psychic damage.
Also, if one of your party members is knocked out, then the R/S actions do 30% mercy.
Speaking of mercy, your two mercy acts are posey and blowaway(both pretty simple). I personally only did the single acts instead of the team acts because I needed my guys up to heal, but if you do do that then Flowery’s will cost 64 tp, so will Aqua and Seth’s, but after that I’m pretty sure the rest are 80 tp each. Every duo needs two of Kris’ acts to be spared and around 40% mercy you will get the final act(justice) which will cost 100% of tp and the fight “ends” after Susie’s Idea at 42 tp after the final attack.
Also no you’re not allowed to fight Flowery, your teammates will heal him.
Back to bullet patterns, in Flowery’s final attack(the one before the Susie’s idea option) he splits into four and they all charge at you. Don’t fully charge this guy when he does this. You’re wasting time he’s using to hurt you, make a quick little charge and knock him into next week if you can.
That’s all I have, good luck. And unlike me, drink water and eat before playing a game for 9 hours straight.
Going into Chapter 5, I have some guesses as to what will happen.
So I’m just gonna lay them out here and after chapter 5 see what I got right and what I got terribly wrong(also I have zero proof for any of this, I am working off hunches).
So without further ado:
Ralsei’s a Titan spawn.
Rudy fucking dies.
Asgore gets slimed out by the knight like he was by Flowey.
Gaster doesn’t show up.
The nice cream guy and pizza pants finally figure out how gay for each other they are.
The festival is a flower festival for the flower gods and angel.
The pen of hope was figurative.
Friend shows up for 2 minutes then leaves.
Sans’ befriending gets worse.
Papyrus is Gaster and Gaster is Papyrus.
Dess dies on screen in a flashback.
Asriel shows up mid roaring and he’s like Ralsei but buff.
Weird routes ends but only because the roaring is happening and Berdly Knight just slimed Kris out.
Always bet on chicken nugget knight.
We are finally allowed to explore the dark world without Kris and it’s horrible.
Rudy becomes a second knight in the normal route.
Rudy gets screen time so that this isn’t out of nowhere.
Dess got her mom’s albino fur and her dad’s hair and looks like she’s smoked a couple fat blunts. Also I think she wears a beanie and was Noelle’s age now when she disappeared based off of the Tenna flashback.
And the secret boss of this chapter is Sans with extra steps.
