i have a FoolishFae centered au for y'all, just keep in mind its a wip
Heavily inspired by @tophatbigpencil's fanart of Viridescent Daydream and Adlib Ending (apologies for the mention).
Pure Vanilla Cookie is a Faerie, known as Saint Pure Vanilla Cookie due to his prowess with healing abilities, and just generally being an extremely kind and pure soul. He's not king or anything, though. (And the love potion incident mentioned in his costume never happened.) But he is very powerful, even if he is a pacifist, and prefers to avoid conflict. He's a loving soul, though he is lonely, feeling somewhat isolated at times, despite having good friends in the Faerie Kingdom and many who adore him.
Shadow Milk is a king, ruling his kingdom justly and fairly. As well as he can, anyhow. This is a major wip, but my idea is that he got his title from Eternal Sugar's help somehow. My idea is that she's an entity that made a deal with him, in exchange for him following her scripts she gives him. Wanting the power, he accepted, and became a king in no time. He doesn't have a good reputation surrounding him, still working that out, but most rumors are exaggerated.
He's also known for his impulsivity. Those close to him, namely his advisor Black Sapphire who he appointed once on a whim, know him as very unpredictable, though there is normally method to his madness. Truthfully, whenever a particularly upsetting script comes in, he decides to rebel against it by doing something Sugar would never expect from him. Rejecting that fate, rejecting her script, writing his own. Though, this of course doesn't make her happy whatsoever.
Though of course, he also feels lonely, trapped, despite his best efforts, and almost feels as though he's completely at the mercy of fate. No matter how much he rejects or avoids it, he feels as though following his given role is inevitable. He puts up walls around himself, even around those close to him, not wanting to be perceived as anything less than a confident, accomplished king. He hasn't told a single person about the scripts, and ensures it will never see the light of day. But it is suffocating.
So one day, an attempt on his life is made. He's experienced with the sword, and magic, so he fights back well, but perhaps for some reason, maybe a dirty tactic used against him, he's beaten by the assassins, and he's forced to flee for his life, despite how humiliating it feels. He runs and runs, until he eventually passes out from jam loss.
Faeries come across him, and not knowing who this stranger is, take him to Saint Pure Vanilla.
The rest is a shaky wip, but I'm thinking that Pure Vanilla heals him, and allows him to stay with him until he believes he will be safe, finding that he enjoys his company greatly. He's a breath of fresh air, and he finds himself needing it as much as oxygen, falling head over heels for him rather quickly. Shadow Milk finds himself slowly becoming more endeared by the Faerie as well, though still is urgent to reclaim his crown and kingdom, and make those who burned him pay.
A few other miscellaneous things I've thought of;
White Lily - The Queen of the Faeries, and a good friend of Pure Vanilla's. She was chosen by Elder Faerie before his death to be the next Moonflower Faerie, the ruler of the Faerie Kingdom who has a special connection to the moon. She protects the Faerie Kingdom with every ounce of strength she has.
Dark Cacao - Known as the Dragon King, he stopped the White and Black Dragon's fighting by sealing them into his own body. He is now half dragon, so long as the sealing spell he cast isn't broken.
Golden Cheese - Unsure, but I'm thinking she's a bird creature, and probably was genuinely hatched from a golden egg. Still thinking on her.
Black Sapphire - Shadow Milk's loyal advisor, has known him long enough to be able to know what he wants just by looking at him. He has utter faith in Shadow Milk, and would never doubt him, seeing him as a dear friend as well. Has taken temporary charge of the kingdom in his absence, and while people believe him to be dead, he firmly believes otherwise, holding on until the rightful king comes back to claim his throne. He knows he'll be back, after all. He has to.
It's definitely got a lot of development to go, but I'm pretty happy with what I have so far! I really want to flesh out Smilk and Pure Vanilla's interactions and relationship in the au, but I'm also hyped about the world building, the lore, and what I'm gonna do with some other characters. Namely Elder Faerie (who is still very dead), Silent Salt, Millenial Tree, and maybe even a few Ovenbreak characters?
And then as a treat for myself, some self-insert stuff under the cut;
Blue Rose - A faithful knight of Shadow Milk Cookie, and also his secret platonic lover. She's always protected him valiantly, even willing to put her own life on the line for him without hesitation. Extremely strong willed, but their confidence and bravado immediately melts when it comes to their king, being head over heels for him. They grew closer over the years, and while she assumed a relationship would never work, suddenly he showed up at her quarters one night and professed his feelings to her, (yet another unpredictable move due to an upsetting script) and they started a QPR. After the king went missing, she's been looking for him nonstop, firmly believing him not to be dead. She eventually meets Pure Vanilla when she stumbles across him in the woods, and avoids saying who she's looking for, since. Assassination attempt. She's not sure who to trust, especially not a stranger in the woods. So Pure Vanilla has no idea who she's looking for, assuming these two are completely unrelated. They also start to garner feelings for each other, though nothing happens between them (yet), due to Blue Rose being taken and Pure Vanilla respecting that.
Though, as a fun bit of angst, Shadow Milk believes that Blue Rose conspired with the assassins to have him killed. It was extremely suspicious that she never came to his side during the event, since she always did (though she was unable due to the assassins incapacitating her), and he also came to believe that the entire relationship was just another tragedy planned out by Eternal Sugar. After all, why would he be able to have something good like that? Something good that he chose? So, now he believes that their simply a traitor.
He sometimes openly shit talks them to Pure Vanilla, but never mentions her by name, so Pure Vanilla has no idea that he's talking about Blue Rose. Smilk tries to act like the "pitiful knight" he sometimes rants about was just a gnat, something insignificant, but Pure Vanilla can sense the bitter and genuinely hateful undertones. Though, he chooses not to push the subject.
Shadow Milk very much wants revenge on her, though. I have an idea of them reuniting, and Smilk straight up attacking her on sight, slashing her face open and blinding her in one eye. Pure Vanilla heals her and stops Smilk before too much damage is done, but she flees, confused, heartbroken, and angry. She ends up going back to the kingdom, and tells a shocked and concerned Black Sapphire that he can find the king himself, isolating herself afterwards. Assuming that Smilk was just planning on abandoning the kingdom, and everyone here, and genuinely didn't give a single care for any of them. After all, why else would he attack her on sight?
Smilk tries to tell Pure Vanilla that they were simply manipulating him, trying to take advantage of his kind nature, as that's more or less what happened to him before. Though, Pure Vanilla firmly believes that there's more to the story that the two of them don't know, not believing for a moment that either has bad intent.
Is this a ShadowVanillaRose au in disguise? Maybe. But only those who look under the cut will know that.
In the end the goal is for Blue Rose to be in a QPR with the two and the two of them are in a romantic relationship. Polyamory my beloved,,,
since I need to start posting more on this blog, let me do a bit of a shameless plug for the future!
I'm going to start writing a fic on AO3 heavily based on me and my friends Cookie Run rp, with the protagonist being my CRK sona.
It'll have a wholesome start, and could be considered as just unrealistic fluff (which is what it was intended to be before my brain took some ideas and ran with them), but trust me, there is detailed and well thought out stuff afterwards.
It's also sort of a more vulnerable fic, since the protagonist is of course, based off me. So there will be mentions of some of my irl struggles and issues, so I'm a tad bit nervous about all of that, but the brainworms to write this fic are stronger than that, haha.
The first 'arc' will have a heavy focus on Shadow Milk and Black Sapphire, so if you like those two, I hope you'll like what I do for them!
The fic will also include certain ships (ShadowVanilla, ShadowSapphire (I do not see Smilk as his father, please do not try to claim I support that stuff /lh), HollySugar, Juice Bar Regulars poly, etc.), and some of me and my friends ocs, and also a lot of headcanons! Since this roleplay started during the Match Made in Oven update, a lot has changed in the lore, so we'll be going with our own lore and plans for the latter half of the arcs, with it being combined with stuff that's revealed in the updates. So not everything will be 100% lore accurate.
Also, there will be no character death. We have a firm 'no killing important characters' rule in our roleplay, so if you get anxious about character death in media (as I do personally), don't worry! There won't be any of that. We will be doing our best to try and assure that everyone gets as happy as an ending as possible, as we feel the characters deserve such.
I hope that some of you will decide to join me as I try to actually finish a fanfic for once! It would mean a lot to me. <3

@fishymom-art It's done!! I hope I wrote Clotted Cream well, I kind of tried to keep between the balance of 'teetering off the edge' and still trying to not be an asshole. It was pretty fun to write, and I enjoyed finally writing something with Celeste in FaB! I might do more in the future, but I'm not sure.

Drew P3 protag as a Persona!
I gave him a scarf, since both Orpheus and Messiah have scarves, and also. Ryoji. I gave him a butterfly pin since Thanatos is usually associated with butterflies. The lines on the cloak are just something I did to make the cloak look less boring, and I like to think they kind of look like strings, like Orpheus' lyre. And then I like to imagine he's half stone, half void, but I couldn't figure out how to make the void look good. And then he has the 12 arcana cards around his head, sort of in a halo. I like to imagine it spins when he attacks. (Just don't look too hard at the cards (◉ _ ◉))

So, I don't think I'm able to finish Lobotomy Corp. due to my memory. So I'm moving onto Library of Ruina. I'm enjoying it a lot so far!

This drawing isn't one of my favorites, but it was still fun to paint.
