to posit that someone who begins transition (changing medically, socially, whatever) and then decides that they are unhappy with their new specific presentation, reception, body, &c. and chooses to make new changes in light of that realisation is "detrans/detransitioned" implies a 'one way only' theory of transition--that there a hegemonic, ur-body that one can progress further from or closer to against which all presentations are measured--& that there is always a potential 'reversion' to 'normal' within every transition that consists of bringing your presentation and body in line with what is expected from your assigned sex at birth, which is fundamentally different to making these changes in any other direction because it presents some sort of return (retvrn, perhaps!)
