not to be completely crazy but i kind of don’t want free camera movement in the oot remake. i know that’s like one of the major things everyone hates about oot but i also feel like being able to freely move the camera takes away a lot of navi’s significance as the facilitator of the targeting mechanic. free camera movement means you don’t necessarily NEED to use targeting to progress because you can manually aim at a weak point (easiest example i can think of is botw where half the time targeting makes the battle more annoying). but part of the point of oot is that link CAN’T fight without navi. because he’s nine fucking years old. the nine year old boy cannot reliably target an enemy’s weak point without his mom showing him where to hit. that’s why it’s so impactful when you lose navi in the final battle and you can’t target ganondorf at all. like i think one of the best things about oot is the way that it works the “limitations” of its system into the story of the game. like fuckkkkk maybe the annoying things are there for a reason maybe we DONT have to strip the game of its retro charm so we can sell it for $70 again UGHHHHHHHHH

blue sunset on Mars is a real phenomenon caused by the way Martian dust scatters sunlight.
Unlike Earth, where sunsets are red and orange due to the scattering of shorter blue wavelengths by our atmosphere, Mars has an extremely fine dust that scatters blue light more efficiently near the Sun.
So during sunset on Mars, the sky turns reddish-brown while the area around the Sun glows a soft blue. It’s the opposite of what we experience on Earth.

*maddest ive ever been, eye twitching* thats baseless. its something else actually.
every transfem goes “my voice is so ugly” and then they speak and it’s like a choir of angels came down specifically to bless my ears
All it means when people say “you’re speaking from a place of privilege” is that you’re likely to underestimate how bad the problem is by default because you are never personally exposed to that problem. It’s not a moral judgement of how difficult your life is.
^^^^^^ read it. say it out loud. keep repeating it until you understand.

I forget if I showed the beautiful Tyrian purple that they made in the synthesis chemistry lab that I collaborated with at the art museum. They’ve been synthesizing mostly blue pigments and dyes from throughout history. This was my first time seeing Tyrian purple in person and I was so excited!
Historically it was made from murex snails and was hugely expensive and used by royalty, but chemically it’s similar to indigo so the class was able to create it in the lab without snails.
