Yet another heath care provider lacking self-reflection
today were my last 24hrs in neurology :’)
I even cried for 5 seconds
I wish I lived alone but my mum will never understand me moving out single 🙃
and also i dont have the money mmm
year 5 so far has been so bad for my mental health
it’s literally been 2 weeks…
We just put our patient under anaesthesia when the anaesthesiologist from the next room walks in, tells in the calmest manner possible "there's a fire in our OR" then proceeds to walk out as if nothing out of ordinary happened. Everyone shrugs and continues to do their thing. My supervisor, the kindest grandma looking doctor, mumbles something like "oh no not again" before walking over nextdoor to help put it out.
A few anaesthesiologists and OR assistants put out the fire. No fire department alerted, the only casualty is the ceiling lamp. Things go back to normal. A surgeon wonders what the hell smells so damn terrible, gets relieved that it's not him.
Another simple day in the OR.
today was one of the worst night shifts of my life :/
first 24hr shift after 1.5 month vacation send helpp
the day hasjust started but i already want to sleep
starting year 5 in a few daysss IM NOT READY
my first time doing clay, soo relaxing
maybe this could become a new hobby?
had my first shift in a covid unit today, it went actually well? and my fave doctor praised me and told how easy it is to work with me i melted 😌(well, she told me off afterwards but we don’t talk about that hehe)
i wish i always had shorter shifts like this - 12h and not my usual 16 or 24 bur oh well
also, i hope i don’t get covid AGAIN but i also realised i don’t really care anymore
now heading home to study neurology :’) the hardest part of the day is still awaiting me lol
all i do is over caffeinate myself and function incorrectly
why is neurology so hard?? is anyone else also struggling
i think it’s the most difficult subject of all 4 years
god send help
seems like I’m gonna be working in a covid unit this month
at least i hope i’ll get paid for this??
i’m thinking of leaving my job
everytime i think of working i get a headache or a stomach pain or feel dizzy...my body’s trying to tell me something
Gotta make room for new mistakes in 2021!
In the saga “coffee pots and productivity”: Busy is not a badge of honor !
You don’t have to be exhausted, overworked, to be worthy of respect.
You don’t need to be in constant search for the sacrosanct productivity to deserve praise.
In a society that puts our value in our hability to work, it’s important to remember that our worth is not our productivity.
