I don’t think it was a sin. Because it didn’t feel like a sin. It felt like I’m supposed to feel.

Eiji: Oh, I love murder mysteries!
Ash, flirting: I've been a suspect in, like, four murder cases.
Eiji:
I would climb a mountain for one (1) boy
In ep.6 when they’re going to Cape Cod, I was wondered “where did Ash get that glasses?”
but now I know, as you can see, Ash is wearing Shorter’s glasses.
and yes, I’m crying.
do you ever think about how the entire story of bfish is powered by love. there is so much love in ash’s heart and that’s what drives him. love for skip. for griff. for shorter. for max. for nadia. for eiji. everything he does he does because he loves someone. he wants to solve the mystery out of love for griff; he wants to stop dino out of love for skip and for shorter, both sacrificed needlessly and for what. he throws himself away to keep eiji safe, he plans around the rules so he doesn’t lose max, he loves nadia as a sister he never had, he is just so endlessly filled with love and he doesnt even see it
This is so, so true, and I don’t feel like enough people understand that about Ash. It’s probably the greatest tragedy of his character, that he’s such an innately good, loving person, and so few people see it about him, including Ash himself. But I think it’s essential to understanding Ash’s character, to recognize and acknowledge that goodness of heart that he has. It’s what, in my view, allows him to have so many people around him that love and care about him, because his own heart, despite the misery and pain he’s been through, is open to receiving that love. I think that’s also the key difference between him and Yut-Lung. For all their similarities, there’s that essential difference, which is that Ash was always able to accept the love and care of another person. He was able to find enough of an ability to trust in himself to do that, despite having every reason in the world to never trust anyone ever again.
