[ENG] Poland needs LGBT+ Ludzka Godność - Human Dignity Bezpieczeństwo - Safety Tolerancja - Tolerance “Just so you know: Polish politicians working for ruling party are saying that LGBT people do not deserve human rights and that they are not on the same level as "normal people”. I want to throw up everytime I hear this of shit. It’s even worse knowing, that this type of dehumanization already happened during WWII and we know how this ended. Last year there was a case of couple trying to use homemade bombs during pride parade. Even though it was clearly a terrorist attack, they had been sentenced to one year in prison. You can be sentenced to more for having weed on you. Are people really this blind and stupid? How can this happen in Europe, in 2020? What can we do about it if Polish goverment doesnt care about UE’s statements and sanctions? What is going to happen next? Rewards for killing people because apparently if you love someone of the same sex you are worth less then „normal” people?“ - via Gaben Pigeon Sygowska

Hi Tumblr
Just wanted to say that the president of Poland Andrzej Duda just signed smthg called “Karta Rodziny”, which basically states that the only true family and marriage is that of heterosexual people, further doubling down on refusing marriage equality and adoption. It will “save children from alien and harmful LGBT ideology” by baning public institutions of mentioning the “LGBT ideology”.
The things happening over in america are horrendous, but also making way for changes for the better. They’re making the whole world have a discussion about racism still woven into our societies.
But please. It’s pride month. My country, my people need this to be on the lips of the world.
Spread the news
the current government of Poland is very fond of the expression “LGBT ideology”, which sets up queer people as a bogeyman to scare up support for far-right parties. Duda is up for reelection this year and he’s clearly following the playbook to the letter. the insidious thing about Karta Rodziny is that it contains some positive ideas, like state protections for single parents and higher penalties for domestic violence… as well as “a ban on promoting LGBT ideology by public institutions”[1]. so if you protest Karta Rodziny, the gov’t and state-controlled media will absolutely claim you ~just want single parents to die~ and ~love domestic abusers~.
[1]: no queer-inclusive sex education at schools, for one. there’s been a push for better sex ed and a counter-push by far-right, anti-choice groups for NO sex ed.
it was signed June 10, 2020. this isn’t news from the 1990s.
some donation links to help Polish LGBTQ+ community
Love Does Not Exclude Association (Miłość nie wyklucza) - focused on ensuring the right to marry for all, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity, and battling harmful stereotypes about the LGBTQ+ community (the link leads you to the donation page in English)
Trans-Fuzja Foundation - activities aimed to help the Polish transgender community by providing professional psychological help and support, legal advisory, educating the public opinion about transgender issues, creating safe spaces for the Polish trangender community (the link leads you to the donation page in English)
Kampania Przeciw Homofobii - fights the discrimination of non-heteronormative and transgender people in Poland, educates about LGBTQ+ issues (link to the donation page in Polish, where you can choose which specific area of their work you want to support - LGBTQ+ families, general support, fighting the violence against the community, fighting discrimination and ignorance in schools, LGBTQ+ health issues, work with LGBTQ+ allies and families of LGBTQ+ folks - google translate should help you with understanding the page)
Asfera Association - support of people from the ace spectrum, education about their issues. Link goes to their facebook page. As far as I know donations are possible only via bank transfers - 54 1600 1127 1884 0040 6000 0001, transfer title “darowizna”
Here’s a petition you can sign as well!!! Please do, and please spread the news. We really need help.
Pass laws that would protect LGBT people in Poland and abolish current anti-LGBT laws
Please Please Please
I would also add here Grupa Stonewall (Stonewall Group) which is an association based in Poznań (so not the capital city for once). They provide unpaid psychological assistance to LGBTQ+ people in need, they have a youth group (which I used to attend when I was still living in Poznań, I highly recommend it, I have only positive memories connected with it), a separate group for trans people, another group for bi people and another one for parents of queer people. They organize the march in Poznań which is very fabulous. They provide work-environment diversity&inclusion workshops. Plus they support Ukrainian LGBTQ+ people in Poznań, trying to overcome the language barrier, which is very, very important. They also organized Akademia Równości (Academy of Equality) last year, a project during which they went to small towns which don’t have their own LGBTQ+ organizations in order to talk about being non-cishetero in our lovely country.
Here I’m linking their paypal.
And here I’m linking their shop where you can but marchendise (to my knowledge, only in Poland).
They are very much inclusive to asexual people, pansexual people and non-binary people which was a novelty when they set up their organization and still remains a novelty among some Polish LGBT organizations. (If you want examples, I can provide.)
It is perfect!
#LGBTQ
I don’t think it’s proper. You can’t spread equality with a closed fist.
You sound mad fucking stupid man shut the hell up
I think this creates a separation in the LGTB community. Why not just have one flag for everyone?
There are literal hundreds of LGBT flag variations to upfift said Race/Religion/Country
Even ones for the specific areas in the LGBT community
How the fuck is this any different? Why is it everytime black people come up with something for themselves y'all have to come out with this show your entire asses with this “"segregation” shit.
Suck on my entire dick
Also, if you’re in this thread and have never made nor reblogged a post about the way POC, especially Black people are treated in the LGBTQ community then motherfuck you. We wouldn’t feel the need to remind you that we’re here, if you didn’t treat us like we weren’t.

VISIBILITY IS IMPORTANT. And that’s a great design.
From a graphic design standpoint: That’s actually a really solid flag, symbolism, balance, and color wise. A+ work from a graphic design point of origin. POC who are LGBTQIA are going to be under a lot of fire, since they’re getting the double barreled whammy of hate in the current political climate. Be safe, folks.
Yo, ALSO from a graphic design standpoint: I wouldnt give a single shit if it looked HORRIBLE. Here’s why.
Ive seen like, 3 flags minimum for asexuals. There are also at least 4 variations on the trans flag for specific identities. There are like fucking NINETEEN “official” lesbian flag designs (NOT counting the hundreds produced online in the past year because it literally became a meme how many flags they had.) Do you think anyone gave these people flack about their design skills? No.
Ive seen two (2.) SEMI- recognized flag designs for all LGBT POC before this. Not even just for one identity. Just, purposeful uplifting for all POC. And white gays got their panties in a twist about both of them. And bitched and complained about “exclusivity” every. single. time.
This flag could look like literal garbage and I’d still support it. Its a good and NECESSARY idea. It’s not exlcuding anyone. It’s meant to be more INCLUSIVE than the members of the community that wave the rainbow and act like its a gay-whites-only symbol. We all should accept a flag like this even if it wasn’t a solid design or whatever.
The closed fist is the black lives matter symbol. It is literally a pride flag symbolising LGBTQIA+ black lives matter. If you don’t get that, it’s clearly not your place to comment on whether it looks good or not or if it’s inclusive enough.
Reblogging on main as well. This is gorgeous and powerful.
Why is it so fucking hard to understand to wear a goddamn mask when on public transport?! It's literally the law (and basic human empathy). And I'm not even getting into the wear a mask properly argument (btw a mask that only cowers the chin is no mask at all).
Aaaaaarrrrgh help me I want to scream in their faces but they aren't wearing a mask so I'm not going near them
This bugs me so much! So what I sometimes do when I'm with someone is describe this picture a little louder than necessary - sometimes someone will surreptitiously adjust their mask and actually put it over their nose after all...
imagine all the libraries we have to visit when the lockdown ends...

Look how talented he is!!
His instagram is waspa_art
I love that he’s that good at 11. I can’t even imagine how his style will look in the future with even more years of practice on him
i always think its so wacky that picasso was drawing near lifelike portraits at age 15 and think “wow, thats so crazy. thats a once in a century kind of talent huh” and i never really thought i’d see that kind of kid in my lifetime. but this kid is past where picasso was and hes 4 years ahead of the curve no less.
im really interested to see where this kid goes. this is genuinely incredible. i was thinking about saying “this is so cool” or “this kid is a genius” or something but i feel like thatd be doing him a disservice. this kid is history in the making.
